If the conventions this year are not 1968, I will be surprised.

As the title says: Why do I say that? Because the OWS is going to be there protesting. And we all know how that will turn out.  :mental:

I have a gut feeling that it is going to be worse than 1968.

I'm not so sure.  Seems like the Occupoopers are dying just like the Tea Partiers.   :whistling:

Tampa has been preparing for them for the past month. Stepping up security and everything. I know that it is normal for when government officials enter town, but they are doing more than normal because the OWS is going to be there.

Republicans didn't have much trouble with them in 68 & I don't expect much this time.  Dems, on the other hand, never seem to learn from history.  Watching lib sites & such, I really see OWS collapsing.  They might get a collection of interest groups working at cross pourposes but, they will probably degenerate into scrapping amongst themselves.

The creeps that assult cops, fire bomb building/cars, bust out windows, steal, etc should be dealt with harshly. I would like to see the police crack heads and break bones. That way when they are released from jail with just a slap on the wrist, they will think twice before doing this crap again.

The actual Bill been in existence for about 40 yrs. Just been updated periodically.

I don't remember that, but I wouldn't doubt it.
