I love fruit, and I love pizza.
Fruit pizza sounds revolting.
Asparagus ice cream sounds better.
Have you ever noticed the "cookie pizzas" in the bakery of the grocery store, or the cookie store in the mall?
A fruit pizza is usually a cookie or pastry crust, has a cream cheese mixture (think cheesecake flavor) in a thin layer, covered with sliced fresh fruit, then covered with some type of thin glaze to keep the fruit from getting nasty.
Fruit combinations often include sliced strawberries, blueberries, sliced kiwi, pineapple or peaches.
It may be easier for you to think of it as a thin fruit tart the size of a medium to large pizza because it's made on a pizza pan, which is why it's called a fruit pizza.
They are actually pretty good, depending on the fruit combination and if the glaze isn't too sweet. An apple jelly works fairly well. It's melted in a saucepan to liquify, then brushed over the fruit to keep it from discoloring or drying out.

I think these look like fun....they are done on sugar cookies.

Just found these. Doing a baby shower, late September, and these look good!! Same site, suggested thin slices of Granny Smith apples, with crushed honey roasted peanuts and caramel sauce on them.
