I hope this is the right place for this. The link is to an article by Condoleezza Rice. I have always liked Dr. Rice, I think she is an exceptional woman and a patriot. It would not bother me at all to see her sitting in the White House. This is a good article and she makes some very valid points about the dangers of the lack of leadership we are experiencing under Obama. If you have time take a few minutes and read it.

Dr. Rice
Having trouble getting into your link.
So not knowing what DR. Rice has said I will stick my neck out here on the title of the thread.
America OH what an unusual country, Just a new born in the world of Nations. So young and built on notions that were totally out of understanding of the rest of the world.
What a rag tag bunch of people that came here risking their lives to escape from what ever country was home.
America grew not from the seeds of hundreds if not thousands of years of upheaval, wars and horror, we grew on a impossible dream unknown to man kind, FREEDOM.
At the beginning some wanted to keep America much like they had known in the past, it took a hundred years or so to sort all that out, but the time went by very fast, no King or Emperor, the tradition of the whole world of slavery was outlawed.
I can imagine the rest of the world thought we were crazy to try to build a Nation of Freeman. But how can this country survive with everyone running about to do as they wish and no one to direct them ???
We did survive and did well even with our one Civil war and a bunch of them in the very places we escaped from.
Today to our horror we have a [cough] leader that has paraded himself about the world apologising for our survival and all the help we have given to the rest of the world that did not deserve it. Darn it, had we been like the other nations Japan and Germany would now be under our control.
Today we have a large segment of society that blames slavery on our ancestors even ignoring the thousands and thousands of whites that died for their freedom. WTF. Yes there were a few hundred slaves that fought for their freedom also but for some reason this is more important then anything others did for them. The slaves did not win their freedon on their own their freedom came from the blood and guts of the very people they now hate.
So on to DR. Rice, wish I could read your link, but just for the heck of it I believe she would make a great VIP based on her past. Very well educated and respected around the world.
America has all ways been a sanctuary for those from the rest of the world, a good portion of Americans have come here after the 1860's and were never slaves or had family members slaves. The 1890's brought in the Europeans, Jews and Africans that built America into the country we have today, they too knew the value of Freedom and shed blood to keep America a place for future generations.
A good friend of mine once told me that she objected to being called an African American. No one in her family for generations had ever come from Africa or even visited it. She was An American period, color of skin was as important as color of eyes. We both have brown eyes so does that make us Kin folk ???
Rant on what is going on in Obamas leadership that seems geared to just one segment of the hundreds other society's that he has no use for.--------Obama reminds me of Jezebel that was so interested in turning her country into a heathen Nation she was pushed out a window and eaten by her own dogs.
