We need modern day "freedom riders" to go into..

...rural areas in Kentucky and West Virginia and try to un-brainwash the people that live there so that they can start voting for their interests and better their situations.

It seems clear to me that pockets of our nation are left so far behind in resources and education. How can we all progress this way? If Obama wins, I hope that is part of his youth service. Maybe they wouldn't be "political," but if he can organize projects for young people to go in those areas and make life better it would do us all good.
