Is It Time To Leave America?
8%+ unemployment is rapidly becoming the new normal. We have a Republican party dominated by hot-headed, ignorant, racists like Michelle Bachman. We have a Democratic party that is too weak to stand up for their own principles. Rule by oligarchy has been approved by the SCOTUS. And now, we have to be armed to the teeth.

Is this the kind of country that you want to raise your children in? Is this the kind of nation that you want to grow old in and have to pay for your health care with a pathetic coupon from the govt instead of medicare? Do you want your tax dollars to pay for yet another war in Iran instead of education?

Emigrating to another nation is extremely difficult, but people do it every day when conditions in their native lands get so bad they have no choice. We're nearing that point.

I know some of you will call me a coward and say, "stay and fight". Tell me, how are you going to fight an oligarchy, the religious nut cases, and the bigots who are armed to the teeth all at the same time? With protests? Boycotts? Good luck with that.

I am preparing to leave and live else where.

They told us... in a polite, Canadian manner... that we were too old and that all we'd do is be a burden to their health care system.

If we had a lot of money to invest in Canada, they'd make an exception.

Emigrating to another nation is extremely difficult,...no it's not. Just ask some of the illegal aliens how they did it....oh nevermind, it involves some physical effort on the emigrants part and DUmmies are allergic to physical activity.

You mean Canada has laws restricting those who come into their Country? they restrict it to those who can take care of themselves so they don't become a burden on Canada? how can this be?

Racism and xenophobia are hardly a restricted to the US. You will be a foreigner there. And you are totally misinformed if you think other countries treat immigrant people better. In fact, despite anti-immigrant groups here and despite it's low scores on most social measures already cited, the US treats its legal immigrants better than almost every other country treats theirs (if not every country.) Not only that, the US is not very popular now. You will be a lightning rod for anti-US attitudes. Whenever the US does something stupid, your neighbors will hold you responsible. Plus, since you're foreign born, don't think you're voice is going to count for anything with the government of the country you move to. It isn't. Depending on where you go, you also can't count on that for your children either.

I can understand the sentiment, though. I've thought of emigrating. Thought of it, but since I'm in poverty, I'd have to arrive as a refugee, which is hard enough. I'll wait until the humanitarian disaster hits and ride the wave out then.

It's just too expensive for most of us. I'm living on interest and dividends now without Social Security and will have a very tidy income with it and Europe is still too expensive.

I've been looking at Mexico (it's not all going crazy) and Ecuador as my first choices. I'm just not sure I could tolerate the climate in Mexico or the increased altitude (2000 feet higher than where I am) in Ecuador.

Well it is difficult, if not completely impossible to emigrate to another nation and get right on the dole. Sorry, there is only one country where a DUmmie can do that and they are already here.

Absolutely. Do the DUmmies think we mothballed the plans for those Walmart/Target/Haliburton underground detention centers?

HELL NO! In the almost 4 years Barry has been president, we have DOUBLED the capacity. Work has actually increased under this administration, mainly because they are so incompetent, they couldn't catch a cold in a North Pole nudest colony!

We have received over 500 BILLION in stimulus money to date, and our future funding is currently ahead of the DOD and DHS combined! But unlike under the GW Bush administration, we have been much, much more covert. Not once have photos leaked out onto the Internet about even ONE of our new facilities. SO, if you're going to escape the great liberal roundup, you better be gone BEFORE November 6th, because the 7th will be TOO LATE!
