Thanks.

I saw in the video that they actually had a sign about Keith's daughter. How he kept from punching them, I will never know. If that was me, I would have went ballistic on them.

I have a little experience with Phred's Phreaks. They are every bit as hateful and evil in person.

Fast forward to 12:25.

Note: I have lost about 90 pounds since then.

Hey, you look great!

I watched to whole video. While I agreed with much of the views from the guy, he is kind of an ass yet I couldn't help but like him. Some of his arguments were weak though. I did find it funny how whats her name and her family got offended by him questioning her sons legitimacy and saying it wasn't fair for him to bring it up to her son.   ****ing hypocrites do worse times 1000 at soldiers and others peoples funerals and then get offended when questioned about their own sins.

Thanks, BEG. I think I had about 10 years of "don't give a damn" before that video; funny how a divorce can clear that up. I look at pictures from that time, and feel good that I have done something for myself and my health. I still have a way to go, but I'm working on it.

Hello!

Well, thank you, ma'am!

The painted horse is called a "dala". It's Swedish. Lindsborg, an old Swedish town near here, had a dala painting contest. This one has hearing aids and glasses, reminded me of a certain Dog I know  :-)

James Holmes faces judge for first time in wake of Aurora, Colo., movie theater mass shooting
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-57477756/james-holmes-faces-judge-for-first-time-in-wake-of-aurora-colorado-movie-theater-mass-shooting/

I saw this "live" this morning.

The newscaster said "Holmes looked listless, "out of it" and that when he closed his eyes tight, when the judge said "death penalty" ...that it looked like reality hit Holmes."

Jesus, Mary and Joseph!!!! I personally thought the guy looked either:

1) he was heavily medicated . which there has been no announcement that he was being medically treated.

or

2) he looked like he was trying to stay awake!

I think it was #2.

Question, we know where he bought his weapons but where did the stores that sold them to him get them ???

Will we ever know if any of the weapons came from the Fast and Furious operation ??????

Bass Pro Shops and Gander Mountain, two national store chains with mail order covering the US except where prohibited by local law.  No connection to Fast and Furious.

Thanks for the interview. I appreciated the opportunity to talk to you.

AntiFascist:

Phred is not "right-wing", nor is he "left-wing".

Any honest political discussion about him and his family must include the fact that they are registered Democrats, and have been active in Democratic party politics in Kansas for three decades. If you decide to asign a "wing" to the Phelps family, you must acknowledge that Phred was a state official in the Gore Presidential campaign, and that members of his family ran for office as Democrats.

When you talk about the WBC, leave your politics at the curb. You have common cause with millions of Republicans who abhor the Phelpses, just as you do. Don't be afraid to find something bigger in this life than politics.

Ride safe, and ride proud.

James Holmes Received $26K Grant From Bethesda-Based National Institutes of Health

July 24, 2012 7:49 AM

WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) - James Holmes, the alleged gunman in the recent theater shooting that left 12 dead in Aurora, Colo., was previously awarded a $26,000 federal grant.

PHOTOS: James Holmes First Court Appearance

WNEW News reports that Holmes was awarded a prestigious grant from the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md. NIH is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

It gave the graduate student a $26,000 stipend and paid his tuition for the highly competitive neuroscience program at the University of Colorado in Denver. Holmes was one of six neuroscience students at the school to get the grant money.

Holmes is expected to be formally charged next Monday. He is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder, and he could also face additional counts of aggravated assault and weapons violations. Holmes has been assigned a public defender.

Weeks before, Holmes quit a 35-student Ph.D. program in neuroscience for reasons that aren’t clear. He had earlier taken an intense oral exam that marks the end of the first year but University of Colorado Denver officials would not say if he passed, citing privacy concerns.

The rest of the story is here:  http://washington.cbslocal.com/2012/07/24/james-holmes-received-26k-grant-from-bethesda-based-national-institutes-of-health/

So, yes--he did get the money from the government.  It wasn't supposed to be used that way, but that sure as all Hell didn't stop him.

Are you guys ready for some good news out of this? Well, I'm not sure if you would consider it good or not, but Christian Bale showed at the hospital today, on his own dime, to visit the victims of the shooting. That shows some class right there. And I think him visiting them is better than obama visiting them, as obama only did it as a photo op.

I saw on tv earlier today, that several of the Denver Broncos have been visiting them too.

I also heard that the movie company is donating "untold amount" to the fund that has been started for the victims.

I was glad to see that a fund had been started for the victims. I don't know about any of the other victims, but I heard yesterday, that the mother of the little girl who was killed, was shot in the neck and is paralyzed.  :(

Holmes got funded by the owebuma administration, or at the very least on owebuma's watch. But it will still probably be Bush's fault.

A question I have about the CCW/armed citizen argument I have is that Holmes set off smoke bombs before the show.  You can't shoot what you can't see.  I'd be interested in knowing how effective the smoke bombs he set off in the theater were.  Do theaters not have security cameras in the theater or projection booth?  Is the theater owner sitting on them to cover his ass?

I hate adding to the second-guessing going on.  This situation is terrible.
