Apparently the James Holmes ABC cited as "proof" the Tea Party was involved was 50 years old.

WTFG, guys.

My mother lives in Denver and my nephew lives with his grandparents in Aurora.  And anyone who tells you Aurora is an "average" neighborhood lies.  It's a shithole.

A few extra bits of information:
1. Holmes was apparently a former med student.
2. (In case we need any more reason to get angry at this monster) Among the injured was a 4- month- old baby who had some ill effects from exposure to that gas bomb Holmes released before he started shooting. The child is okay though, and was released from the hospital.

I am praying for the victims and their families of this terrible tragedy.

ABC's Good Morning America said that he was a Tea Party member in his 50's, now they are retracting that saying that it was misinfermation. I think they just wanted to blame the Tea party and republicans. They will be eating some major crow when they realize that they are full of shit!

I also looked on MSNBC's website too see if I can find any blame going on there, I don't see any on the website, but that isn't saying what stupidity could be spewing out of the TV station.

Here is the pic of the shooter. Does he look 50? He a 24 year old Med Grad student (his name is James Holmes). He is also probably a registered Democrat!

Saw online that ABC is already trying to "backtrack" their remarks the shooter was a tea party member. Duh...maybe they should have checked facts first :thatsright:

Per news conference on rigt now:
Guy was a med student that quit school end of semester.
He's from San Diego...extremely white and apparently painted his hair red and refers to himself as The Joker.
He was covered in body armor...chest, head, neck and groin. (no way to shoot him and kill him)
12 dead, 59 injured incl 1 in an adjacent theater.
Police were there in 1-2 minutes from first call.
His apartment is seriously booby trapped, trip wires, lots of bottles filled with something. All buildings in apt complex have been evacuated. Don't know how long it will take to defuse the apartment.

Next update at 7pm.

According to the press conference. With all he was wearing (It was swat team gear), they are not rolling out that it was a terrorist attack. But they are not going to confirm it until they know for sure.

Slightly off topic, but I have to ask what was a 4 month old baby doing at a midnight screening of a movie?

Parents who would take the baby with them and let it sleep while they watch the movie. It happens all the time. I see nothing wrong with that. At least they didn't leave it home alone, which then I would have a big problem with.
