My point is, the title
professor is a pretty high rank.
The title "professor" is not generally given to slack-jawed metrosexual faggot-ridden punks right out of law school. If anything he was an adjunct instructor.
As I understand it (I'm no academic), the rank structure in academia works something like this, from top to bottom:
1. Professor (tenured)
2. Associate Professor (usually tenured)
3. Assistant Professor (usually tenure-track after 4-8 years or so, but this is a title conferred on a recent doctoral graduate who was hired following receipt of his doctorate or post-doctoral work)
4. Instructor (often not even a part of the regular faculty - sort of a "part-time" teacher)
