Obama is borrowing a page from Elizabeth Warren's playbook... if you achieved anything in your life, it's because the government was there to prop you up and hand it to you, wipe your chin, and powder your bottom.

     The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together.  There are some things, just like fighting fires, we don’t do on our own.  I mean, imagine if everybody had their own fire service.  That would be a hard way to organize fighting fires.

Actually, the Mayan calendar is off by 450 days. They didn't have leap year at the time it written.

So if I have to credit those "great teachers", does this also mean I can blame my life's failures on the far more mediocre and some outright shitty ones I had in my tenure (indoctrination) in the public school system?

That's why he won't release any records from his schools.  They would all show that he was "socially promoted" with poor grades.  He's a lazy slacker that does as little as possible while taking the credit for what others do.
