Man, it took long enough. I am sure some here remember the individual I was talking about a while back? The one about the comparison of what Bill Maher did to Sarah Palin and what Rush did to Sandra Fluke? Well today I got into a discussion with him about how much debt Bush added to to the deficit. This went on for over an hour. I showed him four sources to prove that I was right, two of which were CBS News and NPR (Both left wing organizations), the other two were Politicfact and Factcheck.org. He then showed me one that agreed with him. It was a stupid blog from some left wing wacko. He insisted that the blog was correct and CBS News, NPR, Fact Check, and Politifact are wrong.

When he finally realized that I was right and he was wrong. He started with the left wing talking points - AND THREW THE RACE CARD! He said that I am pissed because there is a black in the White House. Now this is a guy who usually backed everything he said up. He is not that stupid, although I think he is retarded. This is also the first time he threw the race card after me. It was at this point that I knew I had him.

We then got into a discussion about the Tea Party because he said that I am a racist supporter of them. I called him an OWS supporter. At that point he went off about how great the OWS is and how bad the Tea Party is, he literally said that the OWS are more Christian, more American Loving, and more smarter than the Tea Party. He then started calling me a racist again, saying again that I am pissed because there is a black man in the White House. I finally got sick of his bs and called him an lazy entitlement freeloader and socialist who wants the people who like to work for what they have to be slaves to him and the rest of the freeloaders who are too lazy to leave their parents basement and get a job. At that point he finally admitted that he is a socialist. Now it is all clear with why he is like he is so stupid and deranged. Wow.

At that point it end the conversation, at which point he called me stupid and a racist again. I called him a socialist OWS lover, and told him that I will see him at the next mass murder they have.

I am sorry that this is not a bouncy. I wish it could be. But there is no way I could every make this up. My God, the guy was beyond stupid. Wow.

Believe me, I was smacking my head off the wall. All this started because he tried to tell me that Bush added $10 trillion to the national debt. He tried to tell me that there was no debt when he took office (Other wards, Clinton cleared the deficit!) I spent over an hour trying to tell him that Bush only added $4.9 trillion and that in eight years, where as Obama added $5 trillion in three years. He would have nothing of it. I even cited the liberal websites because I 'Thought' they would be ones he would believe. He instead trying to play them as right wing whack sites. Man, you talk about wanting to

Up till this point, we never let politics get in the way of our friendship. I think after today, that changed. I have a couple of friends who are liberals, but they are no where near as bad as this guy is. He lost a lot of friends over his views because of how extreme they are. I tried to give him a benefit of a doubt because I like people until they give me a reason to not like them, no matter what their opinion is. Today changed my opinion of him. Wow. And I known this guy for a couple of years now.

If you share common interests, just work out a peace treaty.  I've got a couple of friends that are very liberal but, we just don't talk politics.  It dosen't always work but, if you & they can restrain yourselves it can be OK.

An outspoken Democrat I used to work with once stopped me in the hallway just to ask how I can be a Republican????  This was a lady that had not spoken to me for months because she found out my politics.  I told her that I didn't agree with the Republican party on all issues, but they were right and Democrats were wrong on many important ones, including handling the economy and abortion.  She asked me how I could possibly support the (then suggested) changes to Social Security that would make it even less likely I'd ever collect...and I told her that I'd be fine with getting by in my old age without my children being forced to provide larger and larger payments to the government in return for my monthly check.

She got the final word, and walked away..."Well, at least I got mine."

I have a good friend who is a lifelong democrat. We have some good debates, but in the end we agree to disagree. We have never personally attacked each other. The funny thing is, he owns 2 businesses, and when it comes to his receivables being paid, he is very republican.
