Veteran singer Andy Williams has reportedly left hospital in Los Angeles to spend his final days at home as he battles cancer.

The 84-year-old revealed last year that he had been diagnosed with bladder cancer and was undergoing treatment in a bid to beat the disease.

Doctors reportedly told Williams recently that there is nothing more they can do for him in his health battle, and Britain's Sunday Express newspaper reports the star has returned to his "spiritual home" of Branson, Mo., spend time with his wife Debbie and his three children from a previous marriage.

He was a really popular crooner, like Tony Bennett, Sinatra (although not as popular), Dean Martin and the like.

He had a smooth silky voice. His greatest hits were Moon River, Days of Wine and Roses, Can't take my eyes off of you, etc. He made millions happy with his wonderful voice.

very sad news. He has a big theater in Branson, where he had shows for so long. I never liked Branson, although I'm from Missouri. It was always too crowded, but Andy Williams made many people happy, particularly with his Christmas shows.

I grew up to his songs.  My parents had all his albums and we always watched the Andy Williams weekly show on TV

This is bad. My childhood and teen years are disappearing with someone's death almost each week. I hope Mr.  Williams isn't in any pain.

The holiday specials on TV with the family and children was really down home great.

Strange that I cannot recall his wife's name I do recall the name of her lover that she shot to death----a ski instructor called Spider.
