Interesting experiment we had in school. We build a 4 foot x 4 foot cage and placed in two little white mice.
In the center of the cage we placed in a bowl that held 2 pounds of mouse food and a bowl with a gallon of water.
We checked on the mice every week and the colony grew huge. After 3 months the mice had eaten up most of the food and drank the water. Now we began to check on them every day, as the food and water was eaten and the water drank and became low, now is where we saw amazing behaviors.
Much like human behavior in our dark past and present times. Females were giving birth to baby's they killed, Males in some cases would not mate with a female, the male activity was around the food and water buckets and fights over access were deadly. As the food and water were consumed the cage turned into a total all out battle field. Cannibalising came up as did the mice that just crawled away to die, a mouse's suicide.
There was still enough water and food left to feed the colony but it became a mousy hell.
What was the moral of the lesson, No Human or animal should live in confined spaces they cannot get out of.
When there is fear, no where to run or hide, then one gets crazy. One can take 3,000 humans and lock them up in an area they cannot escape from, even with food and water, if they have fear, constent tension, they stop thinking. If they have to fight for the food and water, then we have animals in human suits.
People in the big city's on the dole remind me of the Chicken farms I have seen, place a Hen in a cage they can not get out of, feed, water and see to their medical problems. All the Hens need to do is lay a few eggs every day. Not a bad job for a bird. Soon you see that the hens on each side of the Hen are picking on her pulling off her feathers, even being DE beaked these Hens can draw blood.
So it goes in life too many people in one small area with no job or chance to escape. Boredom and loss of any
kind of thinking but survival , food clothing and shelter.
So these people have to be 2 or 3 generation folks that live the same way their grandparents and parents did under the well fare plan.
Sorry but FDR and his works plan should come in here. The gang members are young, strong and if they refuse to go to school and get good grades then instead of putting them in JUVE, put them to work cleaning the streets, give the SOB's a job and pay them 1/2 minimun wage. The adult gang members, what is wrong with the old chain gang and having them repair our ageing rail road tracks ???
I have heard that the street lingo for someone going to jail is " they are on vacation" Screw that.Controversial I know but when a parent cannot handle a child for any reason, time for the kids to be scooped up and taken away.
You would be surprised at the number of parents that would stop taking drugs or boozing to suddenly pay attention to their kids. Surprised at the number of kids that quit trying to control their parents and Half of the brats in hollywood would not be on drugs.
