Off to Cape Cod
« on: July 11, 2012, 08:03:46 PM »
Off to Cape Cod in September....can't wait. I LOVE the Cape. I have always thought the Cape is one of the most beautiful part of New England. My mum and I are driving down together and staying at a really nice Inn...

Mum is still grieving hard for Deane, as am I. She is off to California on Friday to holiday with my sister, then in September with me...

It is really devastating to lose a parent. Sometimes I will start cry, out of the blue.

We have friends there that we are having dinner with. They used to live across the street from us  when I lived in NH many moons ago.
It will be wonderful to see them. Just hope I don't get eaten by a shark.. :-)

I always wanted to live in Boston and have a vacation home in Nantucket. The cape would be beautiful also.

Martha's Vineyard is beautiful, though if you really want to see some characters, wander up to Province Town. The residents up there are very clolorful, kinda like a rainbow...

I can't really explain it, but I am sure some of you might know what I am getting at: I have never been to Boston, but for some reason I feel that that is where I was always meant to be. Almost like I was there in a past life or something, if that is actually possible.

My father in law lives in NH, so we.come up for
A few days every year. We like the aquarium, too! Did the Children's Museum twice, duck tours, Quincy Market, etc. last year and the year before, we went up to the lakes and White Mountains, staying in Conway, NH. It was amazing. This year, we kept to the coast, and we found this really cool beach near Ipswich Mass. called Crane Beach. The girls had a blast. Then we went to Rockport to walk around and get a lobster roll. Tomorrow, a quick stop for
Some Smuttynose lager then the long trip home.

I love Rockport..It is located on the northshore of Massachutess. When we first came to the US, we lived in a town called Peabody. which is not far from Rockport and Salem , Mass..

Have fun, my wife and I (and our first two kids) were all born on the Cape, it was a great place to live in the seventies, eighties and early nineties.  We've been in CT since 2004 now but still have a lot of family and friends to visit with.  What town will you be in?
