As all of you know, I do indeed have a few different views on abortion than strict, staunch Conservative. HOWEVER, this is sick, IMO. Won't be visiting the site.

Philip K. Dick wrote a great anti-abortion story called The Pre-People in which abortion is legal until the age of thirteen, the ability to do math being the deciding factor and women keep their abortions in a jar on the fireplace mantel like a trophy.

The story was written sometime in the post-Roe v. Wade 1970s and now here we are, living in Phil's world. Nightmare.

An abortion done at 6 weeks is a suction aspiration.

The six-weeks-developed baby is torn into little pieces by a high suction tube which also pulls out the uterine lining and starting placenta and so on.  It's like putting a person into a blender.

Of course it doesn't look like the ultrasound photos.  The child has been shredded.

Poor kid.

Being a medical person, and being cynnical of liberal modus operandi, I took one for the team.

There are two jars pictured from about 3-5 feet away, I would guess. One is empty, and the other has what appears to be blood in it. You can't see any detail from that far away.

So, another classic misdirection when she says it's "demystifying the sensationalist images." If you can't tell if it's there or not, it must not be there.

Had she been honest, she would have taken a close up picture.

BTW, the pictures she wants to "demystify" are of middle and late term abortions. This was an early term one.

Like Rev, my own point of view on this issue is not as strict as most Social Conservatives, but I'm still a million miles from their position of 'anytime, even if we have to stick the kid back inside and then kill it.'

I am 100% opposed to abortion as birth control. As for abortion for real medical reasons then it is a necessary evil.
