I really don't follow this crap, and I don't give a shit about him or his "problems." I do know that his wife doesn't show up with him at any Memorial Day or Veterans Day events.

But "his people" will re-elect him, no matter what.

Just like I feel about other dimbo pols in this friggin' state.

How lucky he is to have --His People----   Who the heck are HIS People ?????

Betcha he knocked up a 13 year old daughter of a family friend.  /  Or got outed as a Gay male / or is being blackmailed for dipping into the till too often. Gambling debts and the Mob is after him ?

Seems that only blood family is now in charge of protecting him and themselves from some folly he may have fallen into.

How does this happen to a straight arrow, a family man from an influential family ??    Drugs, drink, fiancees or romances ??

What ever it is sad to watch anyone be they rich or poor to go off the rails and self distruck.

Hi,

Goal might be to get him elected in absentee.  Then he resigns and the governor can auction off his seat and split the profit with dad.

Regards,

JJJ's sister is a commentator on Fox (I wonder what Jesse thinks of that). She was saying last night on Hannity that the family is keeping mum on the whole situation.

She's conservative too, isn't she?

I've seen her on several times on different shows....

No she isn't. She is a liberal like her brother and father. She went to fox because they offered her more money than MSNBC did. That is my understanding anyhow.

I couldn't remember. It's been a while since I saw her, but I thought the last time I saw her she sounded too conservative for the Jackson clan.

That being said, was she the one I saw on Hannity last night defending Obama? Some woman was and the woman next to her looked at her like she had just grown 2 heads.

World's smallest violin playing for Jesse Jackson Jr.

Thomas Lifson

Quote
If you thought that Jesse Jackson Jr. had an easy life, growing up the son of a multimillionaire racism entrepreneur, with a seat in Congress virtually handed to him on a platter because of his father's position in Chicago black politics, think again. It turns out, according to his mommy, that he has had a life of "enormous disappointment." Poor Jesse! Poor mommy, too, for now it turns out, according the Jacqueline Jackson, that she was "tricked" into speaking out publicly about her son's years of disappointment.

The bizarre saga of the political Jackson family just gets more and more outlandish. The Congressman took off work for two weeks with no explanation, later informing his constituents that he was in treatment for "exhaustion," later upgraded to treatment for  "mood disorder" at a rehab facility in Arizona.

Yesterday, in Chicago, mama Jackson addressed a Rainbow/Push gathering of women of her son's disappointments.  Abdon M. Pallasch of the Chicago Sun-Times writes:

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.'s mother, Jacqueline Jackson, told a Rainbow/PUSH conference Friday that her son has suffered years of "enormous disappointment."

"I'm not ashamed to say ... he thought he was going to be a senator. He thought he was going to have a chance to run for mayor. And young people don't bounce back from disappointment like me and my husband," she said.

For the record, the Congressman is 47 years old. I guess that still counts as young in a mother's eyes, but to ,post people it connotes an age in which adulthood should be well established as a behavioral mode.

I can affirm that it is very disappointing not to be a mayor or a senator. But some of us manage to buck up and continue working in the face of not being a mayor or a senator. I have done so my entire life, as a matter of fact, and have given up hope of ever being a mayor or a senator. It s just one of those things one adjusts to in the course of growing up. For the record, not being an astronaut and a movie star were even bigger disappointments.

In the wake of this bizarre excuse for her son's behavior, Mrs. Jackson has claimed that she was "tricked" into speaking out at the luncheon. You can see this report on a WGN TV news segment here. Since the luncheon was organized by her husband's own organization, this would seem to indicate the presence of a saboteur. Oh, what a tangled web.

Meanwhile, according to former Chicago Tribune editor Dennis Byrne, now writing for the website Chicago Now, the grown ups in the Democratic Party are beginning to be concerned that Jackson's seat could even fall to the GOP if he doesn't get his act together:

Tribune columnist John Kass figures senior Democrats are the ones demanding answers because Rep. Jackson's old man, the Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. is no longer feared, by other Democrats or the media. While I agree with John that Jackson Sr. is far from the power-house of old, I think there's more to it. Namely, the Democratic old boys and girls network are worried about losing a sure house seat.

Unlikely? Sure, but then, you never know....

With Democrats hanging on to retain every seat they have in the GOP-controlled House of Representatives they want to count on sure-things, and with Illinois voters having a record of voting for people they don't know, there's always a chance that one of Jackson's two opponents might pull off an upset.

The seat ought to be safe, but it was redistricted to include more suburban voters, and in a year when Democrats remember the 2010 wipeout, they do have a right to be worried.

One can only hope that the party pros try to lean on Jesse Jr., sparking resistance from the Jackson political machine. There is nothing quite like internecine warfare to weaken a party.

Yes, that was her on Hannity last night defending Obama. Before that segment, Hannity gave his condolences to her and her family for her brother. That is when she said that the family is keeping mum on the whole situation.

Hell, the ****er could be dead and the Dems running "Election at Bernie's."  They've always been known for dead voters, why not a dead candidate?

It wouldn't be the first one.  I think a candidate for some city council seat died and was still elected to office.

Didn't the Dems reelect Mel Carnahan after he had died?

Mr Tanker that is some visual you have given us,  from one who enjoys dark humor, Thank You.

What, few mothers are not going to find some way to excuse their children's behavior even when the child becomes a serial killer.

Me thinks this child of hers was too lazy to WORK as his Dad did, expected to ride in on the coattails of Dad and friends.   Most likely disappointed that Obama a no one from obscure life made it big with little work and he the son of  Super Star was not able to get any where without the family name.

This man went off the rails in some fashion due to his own actions. as a grown adult, he is not 14 years old.

This kinds of reminds me of a politician that went hiking for a few weeks without telling Anyone where he was.
Come to find out he was shacked up with the love of his life and soul mate off shore.

Dark humor, sure, the NJ Governor that ran off from his job and family with his love of his life another male.

Tap dancing Senators in airport restrooms, darn I bet they were all disappointed to get CAUGHT.

BTW, from the 1980's when the gays wore some kind of flag be it color of tie  or hankerchief to send a signal to others .    Paranoid I may be but watching the news interviews I have noticed a strange thing.

Why do men dress in dark suits, black socks and wear brown shoes.   ?????    Some of the interviewers that have come out as gay do so, as well as those they interview.    Gays use flags to identify themselves, so I wonder about the new fad of brown shoes with black suits.  Questioning minds want to know.
