I've been watching this thread for a WHILE now and it's hilarious.  There is WAY too much to bring over so I thought I would just post the OP and let y'all go digging for the rest.

My only question is; Whose mole is Baitball Blogger!

I cannot believe in an area that calls itself Republican that one of the freedoms you cannot count on is freedom from noisy generators. *interesting to note that BBB is admiting the libs are the ones who put restraints on freedoms*

Now, I could understand if power grids were being shut down due to hurricanes and flooding. Those kind of things generally constitute an emergency. Even if someone is hooked up to life support systems, I can understand it. But what do you think of an ordinance which is so badly written that it allows generators to turn on any time the power goes off? Any time. Even when those inconvenient two to five hour blackouts occur, which is happening more frequently.

Think about what happens each time there's a power outage when someone's AUTOMATIC GENERATOR flicks on. One, two, three a.m. in the morning you wake up from the sound and it becomes impossible to go back to sleep. If you live in a particularly incompetent Republican area where shortcuts are used all too often, it feels like harassment. Worse, why do you have to tolerate the noise when nobody is even in the house? Because, remember, this is an AUTOMATIC generator.

So, DUers, here's the appeal. There has to be some law that forbids a municipality from filing stupid ordinances which are guaranteed to interfere with the enjoyment of our pursuit of happiness, health and sleep.

Does anyone know the best sources, because I need to start building a list.

Looks like he didn't like be pounded by the other dummies cause he self deleted his post.  I think that's odd since all the comments still remain.

I have a natural gas generator.  I love it and talk really nice to it every day.  If my neighbors don't like it they can get one themselves.  When my friends complain they can't afford it, I ask them how much their last vacation to Europe cost them.  They shut right up.  Everybody makes decisions what to spend their money on.  I don't take expensive vacations so I could afford a generator.  It's the best investment I have ever made and last a lot longer than a vacation.

This is the type of idiocy that people lucky enough to work in call centers for utility companies get to deal with. Makes me glad that my years working for AT&T are long behind me.
