This isn't 2008. I didn't even know who Ron Paul was in '08, and I almost voted for Mc'Cain (partied with some friends and got drunk that night instead, though). And most my age aren't all that involved in politics, yet, though, the ones that are tread libertarianish (visible that Ron Paul did better than all other candidates in terms of the youth vote.. on a side by on topic note, Ron Paul also did best in regard to independents, and got more support from active duty military than Obama and all of the Republican candidates combined. Something is to be said for that).

9/11 was the finishing move of Bin Laden that started during the first Gulf War. Bush Sr. turned down the assistance of the Taliban to help take Hussein out of Kuwait. That upset Bin Laden, he also got upset because people who weren't Muslim stepped on what he claimed was the holiest land in the world. He attacked twice before 9/11: The USS Cole and the WTC in 1993.

We trained and armed the Taliban in the 80's. We were allied with them until the first Gulf War when we denied their assistance. Everything from that point on as because Bin Laden was upset with us.

Bin Laden premise was complete economical and military collapse. Which is why he attacked the WTC and Pentegon. The plane that went down in Shanksville was thought to be going towards the White House.

Regardless if we agree with Bin Laden's interpretations and reactions to events cannot be the issue, the fact that they exist at all must be the issue of concern on our part... especially when honestly analyzing what 9/11 and international terrorism is all about.

And that whole bombing thing was in regard to us bombing Iraq from 1991 until 2001, before the 9/11 attack.

Volunteerism is NOT in any way related to communism or socialism.

The two aforementioned ideologies force people into helping others...usually at the point of a gun.

Volunteering means you've made the conscious decision in your head and your heart to help someone because you want to...not because you've been told to or else.

Big difference.  Not surprised you don't see the difference between the two.
