Is your one of them? Mine is.

Leaders of the 26 states that challenged the federal health care law in court have one luxury with the outcome -- they can do nothing.

While the Supreme Court upheld the bulk of the Affordable Care Act, it did rein in the law's expansion of Medicaid by ruling that the federal government could not withhold Medicaid funds to those states that don't comply. The absence of any punitive measures means there is nothing to compel the governors or attorneys general to begin implementation of the law.

I know GA was one of the challengers; so I imagine it will be one that ops out.
When Harry Truman was President of the United States, he had a sign on his desk in the White House that said: "The buck stops here." If Barack Obama had a sign on his desk, it would say: "The buck stops with Bush." - Thomas Sowell

Interesting that MI, WI and PA all might opt out. If they are that opposed to Obamacare then that is good news for Romney in Nov

Yes, it is. It would be nice if he won them all. Especially Florida and Wisconsin.

We sent Rubio to the senate, so odds are good we will help send 0bama packing.

You are joking right? Scott has been unpopular since day 1.

He's real unpopular with Holdem & that's good enough for me.

To the OP's question, TX never opted in.

Hi,

Living in Florida, I will say that Scott is indeed popular with the majority of the voters.  It is the libs and mainstream media that don't like him.  He told Obama to shove it when they wanted him to take several billion to build a railroad from Tampa to Orlando.  Why?  His contention was it was a Trojan Horse, name one railroad that really makes money?  The state would have to subsidize it forever.  Senator Nelson, who has a intimate relationship with Obama, at least the picture on his website at one time could cause you to think so, went bananas but Scott did not budge.  The voters voted it down and he stood firm.

To say Scott is unpopular is like saying Walker in WI is unpopular.  We will see next election if that is true.

I love my Gov. Walker is going to make damn sure that we don't have to deal with this crap. If the left wing ding bats in Madison and Milwaukee don't like it, move elsewhere.

Too bad he (Scott) didn't or wont do the right thing by George Zimmerman!

He, by appointing that hussy fanatical prosecutor showed exactly who he wants to please 'and' it sure isn't the 'white' folk who wish to stay alive or ... isn't protecting oneself from black thugs not 'politically correct' any longer!?

After Zimmerman is railroaded and lynched by the prosecutor, judge, Sharpton and the NBPP .. Just how popular is Scott going to be by the white, racists folks?

You can 'smell' a black appeaser even all the way up here in Virgina!

I'm just saying what I observe, Rick Scott is not popular in FL. If you look at the polls his approval ratings are always in the crapper. I am betting he won't even run for a second term. Everything he has tried to do in this state is getting overturned by the courts, he can't drug test people for welfare, can't drug test state employees, can't make state employees pay for their own retirement, and next year the money paid in by the state employees will be returned with interest to the employees. Everyone I know thinks he's a crook and that he bought his way into the governor's mansion.

Doesn't mean he's popular. Yes he is standing firm on fighting 0bamatax, that is a popular issue here in FL, our former AG Bill McCollum started the charge and the current AG Pam Bondi continued his fight.

I didn't say it did. I was just pointing out that he was on tv stating that he isn't going to participate in the exchange.  :-)

I think you missed his point he has made over and over.  Scott is not popular (with him).  Oh, and Sott is not popular with FL's notoriously liberal courts either (why is this a bad thing?).

Scott not being popular with Florida's notorious liberal courts (Even the Florida Supreme Court said they will not stop voter purging) is a great thing.

No, Scott is fine as far as I'm concerned, he is not popular in FL.

The number of states not participating is now up to 27. Governor Chris Christy told Obama to shove the other day. I really like him  :-)

So that leaves 30 states who will comply.  :-)

You laugh now but, when the SOB tries to claim those electoral votes, you'll be laughing out of the other side.

Of course I like the idea of state nullifications of any part of this, de facto or de jure. Setting aside the Medicaid expansion, which the states can ignore easily, can't the feds just come in and use federal buildings and revenue to begin creating the exchanges on their own, without any help from the states?
