I would expect that.

I'm inclined to back you up on your decision.  I'm not one of thise who believes a non-vote for a candiate is a vote for the other candidate.  I believe a non-vote is what it is; a non-vote.  If you choose not to vote at all, I can understand that viewpoint.

It's still late June and way too many things can happen between now and November.  There's plenty of time to think things through and be sure.  No doubt we'll all spend time carefully considering what we plan to do.

.

Stepping back for the bigger picture. I am Pro Life, Pro 2nd amendment, Pro less taxes, Pro smaller government, Pro military etc.. Tea party supporting guy.  If ORomney cannot even get me to vote for him then he is in bigger trouble than the polls and pundits lead you to believe.

I am sorry but again it is not just a single issue for me.

What do you plan to do besides not vote for Romney?

Vote local, support with my dollars tea party candidates in other states who better represent my beliefs and also continue with my vocal opposition to the current administration.

Exactly what I plan to do.  Who do you suppose all those TP candidates we get in will have more influence over, Romny or ABM?

Neither.  Best possible outcome is a stalemate where only the basics get done.

Do you characterize ABM's recent actions "stalemate"?  Do you think Mitt will rule by decree?

Mitt Romney cannot argue against Obamacare and simultaneously praise Romneycare as  he is doing now they are the same damn thing.  Now that healthcare is the number one issue for this election, Romney is the one and only candidate for President that cannot win in November.

I'm sorry but I will will be sitting this one out.

It's your right to sit this one out. If you are waiting for the perfect candidate I suppose you will never vote again. None of us are happy about Romney, but at least if we get conservatives in congress, we won't have an automatic veto with Romney. Obama will veto everything handed to him by conservatives. Then he will do what he does now to get his way, he will just do it.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Nope, not waiting for perfection.  I see what you are doing here.
Romney is not even close to my minimum threshold though. For full disclosure I did vote for McCain so my threshold is fairly low.

Your threshold must be low since you would prefer another 4 years of Obama.

Only 16% to 23% expect their healthcare to improve.

And those are the same % as run around wearing Che t-shirts in college, so...

Quote
Update: Survey USA conducted three statewide polls overnight of likely voters on the Supreme Court decision to see if it would move the needle.  So far, the results look pretty poor for Obama.

•California – In one of the liberal bastions of Obama’s support, 45% disagreed with the Court ruling that ObamaCare is constitutional, with 44% agreeing.  Nearly three-quarters expect their health care to get worse (38%) or stay the same (34%), as opposed to just 23% who expect it to improve now that ObamaCare will be implemented.  And this is thebest results of the three states.

•Kansas – Romney’s going to win Kansas anyway, but the numbers here are still bad news for Obama’s hopes in the Midwest.  52% disagree with the court, as opposed to only 38% who agree, with 48% expecting their health care to get worse as a result.  Only 16% think it will improve.

•Florida – This state actually matters, and it looks bad for Obama here, too.  Voters disagree with the court 50/39, 47% expect their health care to get worse while only 20% expect it to improve, and 51% think it will get more expensive, too.  Only 6% of Florida seniors expect health-care costs to decline, while 44% expect costs to rise.

http://hotair.com/archives/2012/06/29/changing-the-subject/

Now, factor in those middlers who expect things to remain the same and tell them "the same" comes with a $1.7 trillion price increase.

Once you're done with that, tell me what Obama won yesterday.

Obama has to go.

I don't know why but that reminded me of a song I heard part of 2 weeks ago while flipping channels on the radio....went something like this..."I'm voting for the white boy, I'm voting for the white boy this time......." :lmao:
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

Keep in mind I did vote for Romney once and he did nothing to earn a repeat, actually it was just the opposite. The difference between you and I is that I had the luxury of a preview with Romney.

Are you counting on gaining a veto-proof congress to repeal ObamaCare and rein in the federal agencies?

Recent actions a complete stalemate mmmm no, Mitt rule by decree maybe not??.  Other than the economy Mitt would look no different than Obama in my opinion based on past performance here in Massachusetts.  Eg. Traditional marriage, AWB which is still in effect here, Attack on the Catholic church, Pro abortion. Etc.

You need to start facing reality, and your asking someone to please stop is just another way of not facing it.

The stop was in reference to the intellectually dishonest BS about my decision not to vote for Romney then I must "prefer" Obama or that "Obama thanks me for my non vote".  That's just crap.

I have a question for you and this may be a good candidate for a poll.  Is there a candidate past or present with an R after their name that you just could not in good conscience hold your nose and pull the lever for?  We accuse the DUmmies of blindly voting but it remains to be seen if we are any better.
