Yes, that exactly. The Supreme Court is not the final arbiter of what is good and just. There is also the fact that what the government gives the government can take away.

That's what history Professor was saying, too. She was talking about some relative who was outside the supreme court today (presumably in favor of the law) when this relative heard a tea Partier say that this isn't over. She went on about how the Supreme Court is final, all the while I'm thinking, "Do you not remember Plessy?"

After hearing Roberts words, I'm inclined to think he was almost punishing the public for voting for Obama and encouraging them to change things up there. It wasn't a rousing ok, it was more like a "you get what you vote for and it's your job to make sure you change it back". I swear it almost seemed like a smack on the emotional voting that went on in 2008.

The tax increase will provide no healthcare for the poor, states are no longer compelled to set up health exchanges via Medicare, and the money collected just goes into a general fund.

SO - The big badass Obamacare program boils down to this - you will buy insurance from a recognized provider, or you will give the government money involuntarily, and still have no insurance. That's a tremendous win there, Pam.
