I have a serious question. Does Roberts's opinion give the congress any power it didn't have before 10 am yesterday? People way smarter than I are really pissed (Levin, Rebel), while other way smarter than I (Krauthammer, MSB) see it more positively. I think Roberts threaded a needle.

Yes they now have more power over your life via the tax than any government has ever had.  Everything you do can loop back to your health and the cost of keeping you healthy...to force you to live the way the Feds want you to live (Moochelle diet plans...driving Volt's etc) and if you don't...they can either deny you health care or raise your rates for your healthcare.

The Government has a means to now control your every behavior via taxiation.

Krauthammer is trying to put lipstick on a pig.  Yes...the ruling has doomed a second Obama term...but the groundwork (prescedent) has been laid for future administrations or futuer Congress' to take this and run with it.

Worse. Everything you don't do, as well. And there's no reason a new "tax" has to be related to healthcare even tangentially; under this precedent the Congress can now tax us for doing or not doing anything at its whim. I call the word into question with quotation marks because these are "taxes" without transactions. Also known as penalties you ****ing dirtbag POS stealth-lib bastard Roberts!

I'd like to make some joke about "the Dread Pirate Roberts," but I just don't have much of sense of humor today.
