Actually, what the Court said was 1) the mandate is unconstitutional as a mandate 2) the mandate is constitutional as a giant middle class tax hike (you know, the thing Obama said it wasn't).

Here is where I see the republicans really missing the point.

The majority of the public still opposes Obamacare.

The majority of the public wants our immigration laws enforced.

The majority of the public wants the black panthers prosecuted for voter intimidation.

The majority of the public did not want the TARP bill passed.

When the hell are the republicans going to wake up and start a campaign on the fact they will not govern against the will of the majority of the American people.  Obamacare is just one example of a president who does not much give a damn how most of us feel.  He is hell-bent on implementing his personal social justice agenda whether we like it or not.

I've been saying this was a double-edged sword for Obama. This is actually the worst thing that could happen to him. The 70% that are against this bill will now vote for Romney and ensure we take over the Senate. As offended as I am by SCOTUS, looking down the road this will be a victory for us in November.

Hopefully people will read the full opinion of the court (I doubt it, considering how illiterate we are as a nation). I find the things the Court finds unconstitutional interesting... and I doubt seriously the media will even acknowledge that there are parts of the law that the court acknowledges as gross oversteps of congressional power.

It's a tax. It was always a tax. George Stephanopolis was absolutely correct when he told President Obama it was a tax. President Obama knows the Constitution well enough to know it could only be constitutional if it was a tax. The Democrats passed a tax on the middle class during a recession. That was their right because they controlled the House, Senate and Executive. Now the fact that it was and is a tax has truthfully been exposed. I agree with Chief Justice Roberts that increasing taxes is Constitutional. And lying about increasing taxes, just like lying about receiving a combat medal is not criminal.
