Anyone really believe that the rethugs - who are all about easy access to firearms - are that worked up over guns being sent to Mexico?

Don't be fooled. The real reason behind this whole three-ring circus is to lay the groundwork to impeach President Obama. Make no mistake - if Obama wins in November, this will become their primary focus. It's no different than what they did to Clinton. They simply cannot stomach the idea of a second Obama term.

It's all smoke and mirrors - trying to distract attention from the fact that they have absolutely no real solutions on how to fix the economy, bring jobs back, etc. Once Obama wins re-election, it will become a scorched earth campaign to make sure he doesn't finish his term.

0bama isn't going to have a second term. Can't even generate the enthusiasm in Hollywood. The man's a loser who's in way over his head and the entire world knows it now. Corrupt and incompetent is a really bad combination. Every issue he tries to run on or "negative" he tries to pin on Romney fails miserably. Romney's running an incredibly smart campaign and has the quickest and best responses I've seen in a presidential race in a long time. Thought he'd be just another McCain, only better looking but he's really in it to win it and a successful businessman might be exactly what the country needs to undo the damage 0bama's done. Hope he has the good sense to make Sarah Palin energy secretary.

The grounds for impeachment are not coming from the Republicans, Huglybear. The Boy Wonder supplied them all on his own: selective enforcement of Federal law, and misuse of executive privilege to conceal Holder's culpability in international gun trafficking.

We want easy access for American citizens that are guaranteed that right by the second amendment.  The whole scam of sending guns to Mexico was to show that illegal guns were reaching Mexico from the US and thereby giving Oblame-o reasons to pusher for tougher gun restrictions.

Yeah, NBC only mentioned it one time (and that was a 5 second mark) since the investigation started last year. If Obama and Holder were Republicans, they would be mentioning it every five minutes..... And have a ticker at the top of the screen giving non stop updates.

This botched gunrunning program may be why Obama doesn't want to ship illegal immigrants back to Mexico.  Calderon told Obama that if he deports too many, then Mexico will start causing problems about the gun running.  Just speculation.


Monica Crowley said that the original idea may have been for lots of Mexicans to be killed and to have the guns traced back to the US. That would have been used to substantiate the lies about most guns in Mexico coming from the US.
