They really want a military force of their own. You can see it in their words. People who will shoot and kill on their orders. People who do not swear to protect the constitution, but rather swear allegiance to the president alone.

For the DUmmies, this is the first step towards a bloody purge. They are so close they can taste it. they know that come November, they will be set back 20 years. Right now is their last best chance, if only the law/constitution wasn't in the way.

Trust me DUmmies, given the overall patriotism, work ethic, and lack of tolerance for BS, you don't want the US military involved in policing the country. Our values are totally incompatible with yours. You won't come out ahead on this deal... at all.

I wouldn't expect anything less than this from the DUmmies.  Every Socialist regime in history has propped their sovereignty on the back of their military and its use domestically.

Thankfully our founders had the foresight to preclude this and short of the DUmmies revolting (i know they already are "revolting" in so many ways) this will just be another wet dream of theirs.

...Which has provided us hundreds of examples of why it's not a good idea if you want a civilian-run government.  The two things the military is good for in this regard is provide material and manpower assistance under civil control in widespread disasters, and repel foreign invasions.  It's an absolute last resort after all alternatives have failed to use them to restore and maintain order, and neither the military nor the civil authorities like having to use that option...which is good.
