what a lazy saturday!
« on: May 17, 2008, 07:10:34 PM »

I hung out with my buddy bobby this afternoon.  I almost always destroy myself when I am
in his company.  thank God he lives out of town, and isn't around very often. :-)

the dodgers won, so that is pretty cool.

all in all, it has been a pretty sleepy saturday.

what about y'all?

Got up @ 5:30am
Made coffee
Drank coffee
Welcomed three more granddaughter's to Poppell's Playhouse
Interacted with the children
Said goodbye to Little Angel (for a couple of days)
Fiddled on internet
Made lunch
Watched TV
Said goodbye to three remaining granddaughters
Made coffee
Lie upon bed/watched TV/drank coffee
Welcomed Lady Undies home
Watched bits and pieces of Horserace
Took a shower/shaved/etc.
Got handsomed up
Went to eat
Stopped to buy a pie
Stopped at Little Store
Played penny games at Little Store.  Lost
Came home
De-handsomed
Recorded money spent in journal
Pulled up CC
Typed this

*in between all this I picked up the little messes made through the day.  I lost on that one too

I can see November 2 from my house!!!

Spread my work ethic, not my wealth.

Forget change, bring back common sense.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I'm over fifty.  I pee every 12 minutes whether I'm near a toilet or not.  It's a given.

Sold!

Yessir, I got a new bike.  It's pretty similar to my last bike.  Same seat, tank, frame, and whatnots.  It even sits the same.  19k miles and it's quick!  Needs some brake work and some cleaning up, but I'm not going to complain.

I think I got a good deal.  All the other 650/700/750 bikes I saw were '74 models or similar vintage, and had a lot higher mileage.

It's a little dusty....

$20K for a bike is a ballsey move.

The bike was under $1000.  Mileage was 19,000.  Almost brand new.

If I had that kind cash lying around, I'd be riding a Harley.

What I should have done:

Mowed the grass
Weeded the flower bed
Weed eat around the fence
Washed the car
Folded the laundry (from 2 days ago)
Played with the dog

Instead, I:

Watched TV
Took a nap
Played Texas Hold'em online
Watched TV
Took a nap
Took a shower
Went to the grocery store
Watched TV
Took a nap and now I'm wide awake   :censored:

I gotta get outta this funk.   :bawl:

Found a picture of my last motorcycle...

I may start a thread in the Automotive Duscussions forum when it gets here.  It does need some work.  I noticed the last owner removed the signal lights and put on some crappy refletor things.
