Good way to get killed by drug gangs. Sheriff Joe is tough, but those guys are seriously heavily armed. They'd just kill him, sell any illegal women he might be housing, and either recruit or kill the men.

Before the Dem party went off the Left end, a President would have been impeached for this. This is full-on usurpation of Congressional power. He's simply rewritten the law to suit his twisted policy and political agenda.

It also pisses me off that the national political "conversation," as they say, has shifted entirely to the amnesty side. No one on our side is talking serious border enforcement AT ALL. Where was ENFORCEMENT in Rubio's NIGHTMARE Act?

Actually, the only way I'm okay with this is that if Congress or the several states respond by passing harsh penalties for businesses who employ illegals.  I agree with The Won that we don't need to spend another damned dime on deporting 'em; we just have to make it impossible for them to profit from being here.

That an't going to happen as long as there are blue states that cater more to illegals than they do citizens from other states.

I haven't read this whole thread yet, but I can tell you what REALLY pissed me off about Obama's speech today.

He said that these kids are dreamers and "it's not right" that they have to live in fear of deportation. 

I'd just like to say,

My daughter is a dreamer too, Obama.  And it's not right that you are spending her generation further into debt with such bullshit.  This is amnesty no matter which way you try to spin it.

I think this was THE stupidest move he has made to date.  He already had most of the Hispanic vote, now he is pissing off the millions of unemployed between the age of 15 - 30, telling them they have to compete with illegal aliens?  I know they work in a lot of lower level jobs, but the best example I can think of is North Dakota.  They are willing to train potential workers that will relocate, and accept the terms of long, hard workdays.  Those jobs pay over $100,000 per year.  I actually have a friend that is so desperate for work that he is considering relocating there.  He has a wife and 2 kids to support.  To think that an illegal alien can have the same shot at the job as does is repulsive. 
Also, do they get discrimination rights now?  Will they get ObamaCare if we can't kill it? (They'd have gotten it for free anyway).  Do they get accomodations under the Americans With Disabilities Act because of their inability to speak English, and will the prospective employer have to pay for English as a 2nd language, or face being sued?  Will the employer have to direct deposit the paychecks to banks in Mexico? I could go on and on.
 For simplification I generalized about the "undocumented workers" as Hispanics, but I fully recognize we have illegal aliens from countless countries here.

I've just been contemplating all the advantages of giving up my American citizenship. Hell, they can't deport me to my country of origin, I'm already there.
And then the democrats will think I need welfare, Soc. Sec., free housing, free food, free healthcare, better than citizenship treatment.....damn I hope the DUmmies don't get this idea. We'll never get rid of them.

I could renounce my citizenship, go down to Mexico, sneak back over the border and have a better American live than I do now.. I am 28 years old, so I fall under Obama's amnesty too.  It's really sad.  I thought about it yesterday when this was going on, why do I even bother working?  But then I told myself we only have five more months.

Lord, I hope so. I can't imagine what another 4 years with this clown will do to us. Even if we take the Senate and keep the House and he stays in, he will just bypass them and do what he wants. He was right, though. They shouldn't have to live in fear of being deported. They should be deported immediately, so they need no longer live in fear of it.
