Nevada Makes Top 10 List, Low taxes equals new jobs!
« on: June 13, 2012, 01:42:13 PM »
Even CNN admits it..... :rotf:

LAS VEGAS -- Nevada is now ranked among the top 10 states in the country when it comes to the number of start-ups setting up shop.

CNN listed Nevada as the 7th most entrepreneurial state because of the number of technology firms that have opened up in the Silver State and the friendly business tax climate.

"From the pool of labor to inexpensive overhead, this is a fantastic place for an e-commerce company," said Brad Howard, CEO of Trendnation

Reid better not take credit. He has nothing to do with it. If it was up to him, he would have taxes set to the highest rate in the country.

DemonRats take credit for the labor of others and also blame others for their own failures.

Nah, Reid is too busy calling for an investigation into the fight that took place here this weekend.  Pacquoi and Bradley?  Sorry, I don't know how to spell Pacqi-owww, Pac-Man.  Pac-Man lost and now everyone is upset, so Reid had to get involved.

I thought it was a split decision?  Doesn't that mean a tie?

I don't know.  I don't follow the fights... but I guess something was "unfair" and now politicians need to be involved.

No tie. Bradley won the decision on 2 of the 3 judges score card. Since it was a very bad split decision, the judge's competence is being questioned at best and a fix at worst.

Pac said he was against gay marriage before the match. He took a lot of heat from the queer community and that might have influenced those two judges.

Dumb ass Reid should stay out of it and let the boxing authorities handle it.

Unanimous...All 3 judges
Majority...2 judges for, the remaining judges scorecard is scored as a draw
Split...2 judges for, one against. The "split" designation comes from 2 judges splitting the win one on each contestant, leaving the decision to the remaining judge.
Draw...2 judges score the fight a draw regardless of the remaining judges scorecard.
Note that "Draws" can be unanimous, or majority, or split.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

I didn't know Reid was involved. Even Bradley's trainer's scorecard showed Pac winning...

They will just fight again and jack up the hype, pay per view fees and ticket prices...it will be a win/win for Vegas....

I have a lot of respect for Pacquiao. He is devout christian, and a minister in his off time. Reid was on greta last night saying that he used to judge boxing matches, and he was also a ameuture boxer at one time. He said that it was a bad call and that he is good friends with Pacquiao. He is disappointed that he lost. There is a big investigation going on about it.

Sounds good to me.  Leave the politicians at home and fight again.  No big deal.  Everyone will be happy.

I don't really care what Reid did in his past.  He is now a politician and needs to stay the F out of it.  If he wants to judge fights, he can resign from the senate.

I think the biggest problem is that Pacquiao lost. Politicians do need to stay out of it, but with boxing being one of the most corrupt (and Mob involved) sports out there, that won't happen.

Responding to complaints.

Migrant Heritage Commission executive director Arnedo Valera said that Kizer emailed him last night, citing Raymond Avansino, the chairperson of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, as saying, “We had three seasoned professional working and I don’t question their determinations. Unless something is brought to our attention that there was improper behavior, we’re not going to take any action. I’m not going to second guess our judges.”
Valera said the Migrant Heritage Commission sent a formal letter to Bradley, requesting him to give up the belt.
In their letter, the group told Bradley, “You are a great boxer but you lost to a boxing icon, fair and square.”

I agree.

Reid can work on doing his job that he was elected to do. I don't remember him running to make sure boxing matches were "fair."
