U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson, D-Miami, announced Tuesday she would introduce next week a bill in the U.S. House of Representatives aimed at forcing states to repeal their ‘Stand Your Ground’ laws.Her bill calls for the federal government to withhold transportation funding to states that have 'Stand Your Ground' laws. “I have been disturbed by the murder of Trayvon Martin for many months,†Wilson stated in a release. “The thought that George Zimmerman could get away with such a horrendous crime is a travesty of justice. I have been contemplating and working on this legislation since the incident that shocked the conscience of the nation -- the murder of Trayvon Martin.

I didn't see where the article said anything about his gun other than it was a rifle. The guy is 78, so it might have been an old single shot rifle.
