ugh. Why hasn't the Democratic-led Senate submitted/passed a budget in 3 years?

My google skills are lacking and I haven't been able to find a good explanation.

Help me shut up my conservative brother who's a lawyer.

Thanks!

His brother is correct.

And it also proves that liberalism, like faggotry, is NOT genetic.

You have to choose to be that stupid.

I would like to add that it takes a lot for me to pity a lawyer. This DUmbass has breached that barrier.

BZZT!

Budgets only take a simple majority. It's called "Reconciliation" and it's how ObamaCoup was passed even though it has ****-all to do with the annual federal budget.

2. Bookmarking for later. I think your brother is wrong on the facts or, at best,

reating a straw dog solely in order to knock it over. But I need to do a little checking first.

Time's up.

3. Because the House does budgets

and it is controlled by the Republicans?

BZZT!

And the senate is required to pass its own so both houses can reconcile.

But the senate won't vote on any of the dozen or so House-passed bills and it voted down Obama's last 2 budgets unanimously

Because they all entail taxing the rich into bankruptcy. They know if they do that, they will lose their campaign contributions and seats.

Also ask yourself why they didn't do it the first two years they controlled both the house and senate.

Budget, smudge it, what do democrats know about money management?

12. because money bills start in the house
It is in the constitution

Look who showed up to put her two cents.  You have to love it when the DUmmies speak of the Constitution.  Again the President had the House and the Senate for two years.  Try Again. You FAILED.   :loser:

In the two years that they had both the Senate and the House, they were too busy shoving Obamacare down our throats. Because of that, they couldn't get anything else done. It isn't out fault they are inept idiots who don't know what up or down is.

The House has passed budgets, but Dingy Reid won't even bring them up.  When the Dems had total control of the government they didn't want to show the voters how much and where they were wasting money.

A damn repukelican posted this link in the thread:

Politifact

Quote
**snip**

As the House prepared to begin floor consideration of several contending budget resolutions for fiscal 2013, U.S. House Speaker John Boehner released a video trumpeting the Republican position.

"Ours is the only responsible budget in town," Boehner said about the GOP spending plan proposed by Paul Ryan, the House Budget Committee’s Republican chairman.

Other budget proposals included those from the House Democratic leadership, the conservative Republican Study Committee, the Congressional Progressive Caucus and the Congressional Black Caucus, plus a bipartisan budget inspired by the Simpson-Bowles Fiscal Commission and co-authored by Reps. Jim Cooper, a Tennessee Democrat, and Steve LaTourette, the Ohio Republican.

"Unfortunately, we're again waiting for leadership from the Democrats who run Washington," Boehner added, and then refreshed a favorite GOP talking point: "The Democrat-controlled Senate, it hasn't passed a budget in more than 1,000 days."

Ultimately the House approved the Ryan budget by a near party-line 228-191 vote, but it isn’t expected to go anywhere in the Senate. PolitiFact Ohio, though, thought it’d check out the speaker’s claim about Senate budgets.

**snip**

Each of those statements cites the same starting point as Boehner’s claim of 1,000 days -- April 29, 2009. That was,  according to the Congressional Research Service and news sources, when the Senate passed a budget resolution for fiscal 2010.

No budget resolution has passed since then, so Boehner's time tally -- like those of the previously checked statements -- is accurate. The day his video statement was posted, March 28, 2012, was 1,064 days from that date.

Well they come by it honestly as mom use to say check the answer by this wizzard of smart:

http://freebeacon.com/axelrod-cant-explain-why-senate-dems-have-no-budget/

BAIER: Why haven’t Senate Democrats passed a budget resolution in 1,040 days?

AXELROD: Well I think you understand the dynamics in the Senate, Bret, and, uh… you know there are lots of things that we haven’t been able to pass, uh… over the course of the last three years, and a lot has to do with procedural…

BAIER: It doesn’t take 60 votes it takes 51.

AXELROD: Understand. But, uh… we’ve got, uh… uh… we’ve got, uh… deep divisions in the Congress, uh… between the House and the Senate, uh… and, uh… that’s complicated our ability to uh… uh… to, uh…  to get these things, uh… done. One hope is that when we win this election, uh… that they’ll be a greater spirit of, uh… cooperation moving forward.

BAIER: You know people sit at home and say ‘I have to do a budget. I have to do a budget about my family spending.’ Why can’t Senate Democrats do a budget if they control the Senate and they need 51 votes to put it through?

AXELROD: Because, uh… they, they also don’t have to deal with the theater of politics, uh… in… in making their budgets. We obviously have to budget and we do budget, uh… and, uh… deal with our, uh… budgetary challenges. The president, uh… has cut, uh… domestic spending, uh… uh… discretionary spending by $1.2 trillion, uh… in order to accommodate, uh… the budget and the, the demands of our budget, and we’re going to continue to do the things, uh… to, uh…  live within our means while still moving our economy forward.

That should tell everyone with any common sense something about Obama's ideas.  I wish someone would ask some of the Dems why they vote against Obama's budgets.

I suppose it would be beating a dead horse to point out that when one speaks like this, when one has to spend so much effort, when one has to measure what they say to the point of a stutter...they are lying.

I know...duh.

I just can't help but notice that Axelrod does it, the one does it and so does the carney.

They are not very fast on their feet and they suck at the lying, take them off script and here comes teh flounder.

That's interesting.  It would be funny for some reporter to catch Carney with a question like that right at the start of a press conference, and then another reporter ask him the same question at the end of the press conference.  Then check to see how much his answers varied.

Here DUmmies, you should be telling Heery Reid to worry about the budget:

LINK

Quote
Harry Reid: Maybe we can use that disputed Pacquiao fight to get a federal boxing bill passed

Via Mediaite, it’s big news when the U.S. Senate majority leader says he thinks a major fight was fixed and that Congress should spring into action to solve the problem. Or at least, it would be: As you’ll see, he’s actually not saying that he thinks it was fixed. On the contrary, he thinks the outcome was the result of poor judging, not fraud. In which case … why the hell is he using this as an excuse to promote some sort of new federal boxing statute? It’s Rahm Emanuel’s infamous line about not letting a crisis go to waste, but without any actual crisis. Essentially he’s arguing that the perception of a crisis is enough of a pretext to justify a federal power grab. How’s that to make you feel warm and fuzzy about big government this evening? For three years he’s refused to pass a budget, but show him a boxing scorecard that’s in dispute and suddenly he’s ready to haul ass. This, I guess, is the “future” that Carville’s firm has in mind.

Doesn’t Nevada already have regulatory bodies to deal with this, incidentally? The state AG is also reportedly weighing a request to investigate the fight. Makes me wonder if Reid is serious about a federal boxing law or if he was just yammering because someone happened to ask him a question about his good pal Manny.

Axelrod's Imbecile Math: US. Lost 288 Million Jobs in 2009 Posted by TM7000 Thursday, June 07, 2012

June 7, 2012 - Last Sunday, I heard David Axelrod make an incredible statement on CBS's "Face The Nation." I had to shake my head. "Did I hear that right?" I wondered. Yes, I did: Axelrod said that when Obama first took office, the U.S. was losing "800,000 jobs a day."

A day?!? "That can't be right," I thought. It isn't, and if it was correct it would mean that the U.S. lost 24 million jobs in 30 days. At Axelrod's rate of "800,000 jobs a day," it would mean 144 million lost jobs in only six months - or 288 million jobs lost over 12 months. Impossible? I think so.

From the June 3 show transcript, Axelrod is quoted as saying, "Bob, first of all, obviously the-- the numbers this month were disappointing. The President said when he took office back in 2009 and-- and the country was losing eight hundred thousand jobs a day..." Full transcript...

http://rogersparkbench.blogspot.com/2012/06/axelrods-imbecile-math-us-lost-288.html

Axelrod's parents must have had to tie a pork chop around his neck just to get the dog to play with him he's so fugly. :-)
