RE: Texas father that beat daughter's molester to death.

PROS: Most of DU seems on board with the idea.

Some call for proper investigation, which strikes me as fair (George Zimmerman to the white courtesy phone).

If this man's story is true, I might have acted the same, but it still isnt ok with society when we take the law into our own hands. What you can bank on is there's one less living person in Lavaca County and hopefully the grand jury will take their job seriously. Being on DU I have read...a shitload, just a metric shitload of sensational stories like this. One thing I've noticed over the years is sometimes things just aren't what they seem.

They also think ALL criminals are poor souls that some awful thing in their past to cause them to hurt another and they can be rehabilitated. Maybe they can be rehabilitated but I am one that doesn't think they deserve that to be honest. You kill someone you aren't worth anything if it was done on purpose or during a crime.

Actually, I think it's a wonderful lesson in empowerment! It's teaching this girl defending herself with as much force as she needs to is the right thing to do.

Correct. Personally, I think he was a bit too restrained in his response. If it were me, I'd have kept pounding the mother****er until he'd have needed to be wrung from my clothes into a glad bag by the mortician in order to be disposed of. But then, I don't have this dad's awesomely inhuman level of impulse control.

Thankfully, I have access to people that are more than capable of making that happen. And if it involved a perv touching any of our kids, I guarantee they will volunteer their services. A couple of them are in advanced years and don't consider life in prison a deterrent anymore.

If I caught someone molesting my child, you are damn right I'd kill the ****er. I have the RIGHT to protect myself AND my family. Keep your damn hands off my child and you won't be six feet under, buried out in the desert some where. I'd rather kill the molester than have him sit in jail being fed three meals a day at the taxpayers expense. It's much cheaper to spend the .10 on the bullet.
