Rep. Gowdy: Eric Holder's 'Furious' Folly

Quote
By TREY GOWDY

Congress has a constitutional responsibility to exercise oversight over the Executive Branch, and for more than a year we’ve been attempting to fulfill that with respect to the Justice Department’s “Fast and Furious” scandal.

Yet Justice — despite repeated requests for documents, multiple appearances before various committees and more than ample time — has failed to answer fundamental questions about this ill-conceived, ill-executed firearms operation.

So, on Tuesday, I introduced an amendment to cut the department’s General Administration Fund by $1 million; it passed on a voice vote. The cut is aimed at Attorney General Eric Holder and his key lieutenants; if the AG and his staff won’t cooperate with our requests, then they don’t deserve their salaries.

That's gonna leave a mark. Trey Gowdy is the South Carolina 4th District Rep. I like the way this guy thinks.  :cheersmate:

Good for them. They should bring Holder up on contempt charges and throw his ass in jail.

I just got a phony "survey" read begging for money) From the Nat. Repub. Congressional Cmte., robosigned by Bohnier.  I sent it back with a comment - Tell Bohnier to grow a set of balls & turn Issa loose on Holder.  Shit.. I forgot to include my check.

When we get more firebrand reps like Gowdy and truth speakers like Joe Wilson...I might send them a few dollars.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

We've never been big on giving bucks to the national groups. It dosen't take a lot of time to research individual candidates & make sure your donation goes right where it will do the most good.
