I wouldn't piss on Obama if he were on fire, much less vote for him.

Narcissistic fool occupying MY White House, spending MY money on shit like "cash for clunkers". This is the sorry bastard that can't be held to rules and traditions, such as being held in contempt by a federal judge due to oil drilling bans in the Gulf of Mexico, even down to his f'n Crackberry -- the little bitch doesn't want to "feel like he's in a bubble" so the entire resources of the NSA and security experts have to be dragged out to provide security for Barry's phone.

For one, I was absolutely NOT enthralled with his "Hope and Change" bullshit speech at the 2004 DNC, unlike many who were. This asshole is about as plastic and as insincere as a Barbie doll, and a helluva lot uglier too.

Barry - when you're unassed from 1600 Pa Ave, take that f'n wookie with you too.  :loser:

Thats what dems said about McCain too.

They'd have considered anything less than Uncle Joe taking the oath of office to be the Bush 3rd term.

Bizarre as it seems, a couple of our otherwise-rational members (Mia for one) voted for him last time.  Mia caught so much shit about she stopped posting, though I think her membership is still valid (I think; either I was looking for someone in the member list or saw one of her old posts in a resurrected thread, but I recall seeing she was still a member about a year ago) - unlike what would have happened on a Dem site like DU, which would have tombstoned her for treason to The Cause.

I'm one of the knuckle-dragging racist-sexists who would love to see Dr. Rice in the VP slot, unfortunately she has made it abundantly clear she doesn't want to take the crap involved with running and then being a punching bag for the Left for four years.

Even my hardcore, leftist democrat uncle is voting against O'bama.  He's one of those who got a 'thrill up his leg' when he heard O'bama speak.  Now ... he's not voting so much FOR Romney as AGAINST O'bama.

I knew 6 people IRL who voted for O'bama.  Only 1 of them will talk about it now and he is the definition of a yellow dog democrat.

I guess that would also, due to Dr. Rice's musical pedigree, make you a racist sexist pianist. Careful how you pronounce that in polite company.

Mia is back, so no, we didn't "drive her off", although I think she was 100 percent wrong for voting for him.  But that's just me.

Look, some people are so deathly afraid of having to "make it on their own" without Unca Shuga to "hep" them that they'll pull the "D" lever regardless.  That'll make up about 35-40 percent of the population.

But look at his popularity among the young, independents, and other groups that swung heavily towards him in 2008.  They all hate his guts now.  He's going to lose and lose BIG.

Yes it was me, guilty, and yes I was ****ing with you.  Truth is I'm voting for that nutcake Paul (what can I do? His name wasn't in the poll).  Not because I think he'll be President (matter of fact I'm certain he won't), but because I have a dream....I want a viable third party in this country.  I want a third choice.  I know, call me crazy  :mental:....

It really does astound me, in America, where your entitled to "vote" however you want, that people are so incensed when people vote the way they want.

I guess you guys should be ecstatic, a vote for Dr. Luny means no vote for Obama... OMG, I almost fit in here!!!

Cheers (just try'in to keep things interesting)

I don't give a rats ass who anyone votes for. The problem with you paulbots is you drop in and try to educate us and tell us how we should think. You can talk up paul all you want and I don't care, but when you demand that I need to vote for him or I'm not a true conservative then we have a problem.

You do realize that voting for Ron Paul makes it more likely for Obama to be re-elected don't you? In this election it has to be either Obama or Romney, there can't be no write in, or in between. Ron Paul is just screwing it up. If Romney loses, I will place most of the blame on Ron Paul.

It is the same thing that Ross Perot did to Bush Sr. If Perot wasn't involved, Bush would have been re-elected. And yes, I did vote for Clinton.

How can I be BLASTED for being a liberal and then you become indignant when I say I'm going to vote for Paul as if I would support Romney otherwise?

I mean, if there is such a thing as a vote for one person costing another person a vote, you realize that everyone that votes for Paul doesn't consider Romney his/ her second option...Right?

In recent history, most *viable* 3rd party candy-dates have sucked votes out of the Republican party candy-date. Ralph Nader, fruit loop that he is, was never viable and neither were any of the other "alternative" political parties like the communists, constitutionalists, etc. And there was John Anderson in 1980 as well, but he was not a viable candy-date either.

I find it surprising, frankly, that you say you're going to vote for Paul. I see you as an Obamabot. Maybe you'll have second thoughts about Paul when you're in the voting booth, assuming he becomes a Libertarian and the 3rd party candy-date, and you go ahead and pull the handle for Barry.  :whatever:

No sir/ma'am!

My question was simply asking whether or not you'd be voting for Obama or not. If you are a Ron Paul fan, you should've said that you weren't voting for Obama. It's the same thing, isn't it?

I'm a bit like you to be honest, not so much voting for Paul but thinking that neither Romney nor Obama are deserving of my vote. I know, I know, people can flame me now lol But I really don't like either of these guys. I feel just like I did in 2008 when I voted for McCain...like I was only voting for the guy I hated the LEAST. I'm sick of the choices that the Republicans have nowadays because none of them get me EXCITED to vote. Herman Cain was the only candidate this round that got me kind of excited to vote, but even then...he had some fairly major faults (not about his personal life and rumors but about his affiliations with big government and the Federal Reserve). We will never have a politician that will be completely honest or in line completely with all of our views so I'm going with the lesser of two evils.

Back in 2008, that was the first time I registered to vote, and I registered as not affiliated with any political party because I know that there can be good choices in either party and there is bad in both political parties...as well as the other, smaller third parties.

In reality, a vote for Ron Paul or any third party candidate is a vote for Obama this go-round considering how many zombie Obama fans there are that will vote for the Democrat/black man/Liberal simply because he is a _______. So our votes cannot be dispersed to other candidates like Paul who does not have the full support of the opposition of Obama...unless you want 4 more years of this "new change" Obama promised to bring us.

Thank you for the honesty though :)
