Before he retired, my BIL was the only stone mason in the Buffalo, NY, area. He constructed arches, gateways, etc., and was always in demand. He learned it from an old Italian Bricklayer/Stonemason, but no one was willing to step up an learn from him.

Yeah. In his bricklaying days he was  on a swinging scaffold putting up Rich Stadium and other tall buildings. Once on another job he stepped backwards and fell down an elevator shaft for 3 floors, bouncing off the walls on the way down; due to his amazing physical condition (he was a champion weight lifter for the great lakes region), he wasn't killed, but he landed on his butt and drove pieces of concrete into his ass.

The stonemason work was a piece of cake for him.

“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”
