I sure as hades did. One dummie that always stuck out to me was a guy that went by the handle of Mrh. Maybe it was Mrhe. Can't remember now. Anyway he was supposedly an engineer down in Texas. I think it was Petroleum Engineer. Said he had been out of work for 5 years after 40 years in the field and it was all Bush's fault. This was like 2006. I always suspected he was a gas station attendant.

Somehow I suspect that the dummies would be unemployed and living week to week if the economy was creating 2 million jobs a month and real unemployment was at -20 percent.
Even during the Great Bush Prosperity, losers were losers. Even George W. Bush could not repeal immutable laws of nature.

22. He's 100% correct about saving

Obviousdly, if you have no income, you can't save, but too many people have saving too far down on the priority list. it should not be viewed as an option - something should come right off the top and into a savings account.

I disagree that having a partner will reduce your costs - it hasn't been true in my 18 years of marriage.

Two can live as cheap as one.

But only for half as long.
We will make America strong again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again. And we will make America great again.

If you haven't figured out how to make it happen in 18 years, you're on your own.  Even Mother Theresa doesn't have that kind of patience.

Get off the Internet DUmmies!  That should save you anywhere from $50-$120 a month.  Are would you rather go without food or clothes just so you can bitch at the DUmp?

I counted about 25 posters with stars in that thread.  Stars aren't free and no one can pay to buy one for you.  Waste not, want not.

I have always wondered how these starving, destitute, deadbeat, democrat DUmpmonkeys manage to afford computers and internet access.

Is there some new government giveaway for that?

Not new, and yes, if you can believe it.

God forbid they should drag their happy asses down to the public library, naw, they gotta get someone else to pay for it in their homes.

And DUmmies, I don't care if you make $1000/month or $1,000,000 a day, there's this concept which apparently has eluded you of "living within one's means."  Are my bills high?  Yup--and I'm working my ass off 60 hours a week to pay them off, and then sack as much money away so that when I am of retirement age I can walk away secure in the knowledge that whatever equity I have in my paid-off house, 401(k), and whatever odd jobs ("Welcome to WalMart, now get yer shit and GET OUT!) I choose to do while I can will more than adequately support myself and Scoobie in our golden years.

My grandparents managed to do it while they were still alive, and their sound planning lasted them nearly 30 years of retirement.  Had my father lived, he would likely have fared as well, or nearly so.  I don't forsee myself living until my mid-90's (or dying in my mid-60's) but I WILL make sure that my kids or my government aren't going to be my sole source of support in old age.

Actually your quote highlights who I feel most empathy for: the 20 year old saddled with what sounds like two frail and aged dummie women to try and support. Thier lack of provision have put thier daughter and grand daughter behind the starting line several thousand feet. Not impossible to surmount but they sure could have done things differently to make sure she didn't end up a 3rd generation  burden. I've come out of a long term marriage as a stay at home mom with a special needs child to boot. I'm doing all I can to better myself and have been very careful with my own income and any support to where I'm actualy saving again. Something that was hard to do when attached to a spender. I do hope that if I need help my kids will be there since I have cared for my mother now and my autistic son so they have an example but I'm don't all I can to provide the resources that if it comes to that mom can at least help ease the financial addition of carig for a sick and or aged mother. In lieu of resources you bet I'd be caring for grandiose or cooking or cleaning or al of the above if capable. I have no qualms with a multigenerational home but if you are able you help earn the keep and keep the family wheel turnng.

3. Yup

And yesterday I was let go. 150 dollars in the bank and one last small check to come. I have no idea what the **** I'm gonna do. I have a couple of days work here and there but my steady part time job just went by the wayside

You're not alone.

I doubt many use it to actualy you know work so there goes that. I work at home the majority of the week so I rationalize my high speed against the money bfore and after school care would cost and extra gas to get to and from work.  It's a bargain by comparison:) and the side benefit is we don't have to prioritize those things over that access.

Wow....  Who would have thought there would be so much financial misery in this new age of hopey changey?  We knew it was coming but it somehow or another completely escaped the smarterest people in the country that a know nothing marxist was going to create so much misery and pain.

I hate to see Americans suffer, I really do, which is why I am not at all bothered by giggling at the misery of these freakin' turds.

PLEASE, just a little more patience.

Next term.

Yeah, DUmbass, he'll do better next time.  He won't hit you anymore, he won't ignore the kids, he'll come home instead of blowing his pay at the bar....  Yeah, next time.  Sound familiar?  Meanwhile

Hfojvt claims he has no running water or hot water?  Where the hell does he live, in a refrigerator box?  How does he jump on the internet?  Where does he go to the bathroom?

Some other DUmmie hasn't had a haircut in 2 years?  Does he whack it off with a kitchen knife every now and then, or is it 3 feet long?

The poor threads are always the same.  DUmmies try to outdo each other, then a squabble breaks out.  It's like those fighting hobo videos.

It's even better than the fighting hobo videos, 'cuz we don't have to give the DUmmies cigarettes or cheap liquor to get 'em to fight!

Don't ask me how I know about hobo fight club.  O-)

So many people that complain have new or newer cars, new computers, fancy cellphones and brand new flat screen big tv's, they wear expensive sneakers and get their mani and pedicures, then there are others whose oldest truck is 20 years old and whose newest car is 10 years old, take hand me down computers, have a prepaid cellphone plan, got their 52 inch TV from a relative when they decided to upgrade, get their sneakers at Payless, Target and or Walmart, and they do their own mani pedicures. Guess which 1 is me?

The pretty one?   :-)
