What a Scam. Wal-Mart is offering to convert people's movies to digital for $2/each
I guess since I'm an IT guy I realize what a scam this is. Probably most everyone under 30 also knows it.
If you have many movies you want to convert you can buy any kind of adapters to connect your VHS player to your computer to let you burn your own DVDs cheaper than $2/each. Most of which work with the CD/DVD player you probably already have on your home computer.
If you have just a few tapes - say less than ten or twenty - or are not comfortable with computers then by all means use Wal-Mart.
Oh, what happens when I take in my gay porn VHS tapes and ask them to convert them to digital? That ought to be a real interesting new story in the future.
Other well-known scams: auto repair. Carpet cleaning. Landscaping. Tax services.Man, can you believe what a ****in' SCHEME bacon is? Shit, man, they want $3.99 a pound for it at the grocery store! All I have to do to have my own bacon is
Find a pig
Slaughter it
Skin it
Butcher it
Build a smokehouse
Cure the belly
Smoke the belly
Slice the belly
Find some way to preserve the part I don't eat
Clean up after it all
I don't know what kind of CHUMPS they're playin' us for, mannnnnnnnn. I'm getting started on my own bacon right after I finish this tool and die shop I'm building to replace some parts on my car, mannnnnn.
