I got panhandled by a teabagger today
It was laundry day. Since my place is too small to hold a laundry pair, I go to the laundromat.

When I was unloading my stuff from the car, this scroungy looking guy came up to me. After he started with the "excuse me, sir," I looked at him...he had a Don't Tread on Me flag patch sewn onto the breast pocket of his denim vest.

So I did the only respectable thing I could think of: I told him that if he chose to fail it was not my concern and went into the building.
but not everybody approves of the OP's actions:

4. Exactly, and he could've just been given it. The OP author sounds like an ass to me.

As in ASS-U- and in the case HIM instead of ME.

Jerk.
most importantly, nadin doesn't approbve:

27. Given how many organizations have used this

Starting with the Navy, before there officially was one, assumptions are never ever safe.

By the way, over here we got a bunch of homeless vets, many of them wear it on their clothing. You know why? Guess what the navy flew on warships after 911? Care to guess what branch they retired from? Did we have a take over of the Navy in 2003 or so that I wasn't aware off? Hell, we have the one that flew on a sub on a few ports of call in storage.

When one creates a bouncy, one should be certain it will play well before unleashing it upon the audience.

26. You know how many organizations have worn this?

For frack's face, I guess the Navy is full of them, after 911 they flew the first flag of the Navy, which precedes the country...yup, don't thread on me. We even have the one that flew on my husband's boat in storage. It flew on a USN submarine in the very few foreign ports of call.

Oh and in 2008... Before tea baggers, some flew it at Obama Rallies.

Do not make assumptions, please.

What a disastrously failed bouncy tale!

Its whole purpose was to purchase a little DUmp cred, and it totally backfired.

When Pam has a bouncy fail like this, she'll immediately post a comment to say she had second thoughts, ran outside and chased the bum down to give him $20 and a Bass Pro gift card.

DUmmy jmowreader is no Pam Dawson.

Odds are if one encounters a panhandler if they have any political leanings it has to be to the left, since it is the left who always wants something for nothing.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Well primitive, it could have been worse.

Your sentence could have read "I got panhandled by a teabagger at the local bathhouse." - at least that bouncy would have concluded with a happy ending...

It is hilarious when a bouncy fails.

The rake him over the coals over there, including some PMs to bitch him out further.  But, he's standing by his story:

32. Actually, the OP went home for the night, but he is back

I saw this guy at a distance when I was coming into the laundromat, and observed him some through the window. In the Inland Northwest, it is easy to tell the difference between the homeless and those who've discovered you can make serious bank panhandling, if you know what you're looking for: the homeless never smoke, and (because we have a good social services network that makes hygiene possible for the homeless) they tend to be clean. The "professionals" all smoke and they're all dirty because it apparently makes them look more believable.

I'm standing by my earlier assessment: opportunist teabagger who would have no problem with eliminating the social safety net.

Liberals are assholes.

Yeh, they never drink or do drugs either......what a DUMBASS!  I can't tell you HOW many smokers I have seen that are homeless with their little sleeping bags and shopping cart that are puffing away.

Even her idiot husband will thank you.  Yeah, I said it--he's a bubblehead, but he's a ****ing CONER.  And not a particularly smart one at that if that's the best he could manage.

Homeless....I guess if you use Clintonese, you know, "It's according to what your difinition of is is" you can scam the DUmmies.

"Excuse me sir, but I'm homeless and I was wondering if you could spare......" Keeping in mind that what they really mean is, "I'm home less now than ever before and I'll be home even less if you give me some money."
