I'm not scared
« on: May 16, 2012, 04:59:03 PM »
Name for me a man who would presume to be king.

This man had a lineage that came from foreign lands and as such many questioned his loyalties towards those he presumed to govern.

He was called "the Proud" and was noted for his arrogant, lofty demeanor.

He had utter disregard for the legislature, choosing instead to rule by his decree.

He had citizens put to death solely on his own judgment.

When at last the excesses of his government and those around him became too much the people rose up demanding a republican form of government.

The man I'm thinking of is Lucius Tarquinius Superbus, the 7th and final Etruscan king of Rome. What occurred in the wake of his overthrow was the instituting of the Roman Republic; a government that made itself felt throughout history so deeply America itself is sometimes referred to as The Second Republic.

If his tyranny could inspire such thunderous reverberations how much more so will the American people, bred not on kings but liberty, reclaim their freedoms and a just government?

I am not scared. Certainly not scared of such a bumbler as our present day Tarquin the Proud. Niether would I presume to be lax. He must be opposed at every turn. The constitution we cherish knew the name Lucius Tarquinius Superbus; it knew such men arise in every age. It anticipated his arrival and it built walls around hedges around fences to guard against him. It's every sentinel has been validated. That is why our constitution is worth defending. If it cannot endure this would-be usurper then it is insufficient and more worthy of replacement than defense.

But it is sufficient.

And I am not scared.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

I am very scared, of human nature, SGT, -----

It was not the people that started any of that rebellion, or any other, it was not the Senate or the wealthy, it was the Military that took things into their own hands and the people supported them.

Through history any leader that had the military on their side could control the population. To turn their back on the Military was to sign their own death warrent.

What's the old saying " when the military stop grumbling about things, then is when a leader is about to fall"

So far I hear little grumbling in our military forces as retirements are cut short, loss of money or a cut down on supplies to our troops. LITTLE TO AID OUR HEROS THAT COME HOME AFTER LOOSING A BODY PART OR THEIR MIND.

The silence is deafening today, disturbs me, no Gung Ho way to go in our wars, no war bond drives or any kind of kick ass support for our people.

Southern border, no flag waving for defending that border, only people jailed are our own defending it and themselves from invaders onto our land.    Must be disheartening for ICE and drug agents that risk their lives to stop 3 tons of Meth coming across the border and loose a few members killed and have the killers set free due to a typo on a warre

Obama is our sitting President, with his security detail more interested in booze and hookers, sending his young children off for a vacation into countries that are totally unstable, insuring and accommodating those with a religious faith that demands we die if non believers, attempting to cause divisions of races in his country, bankrupting the country and setting rules that will bedevil his successors.

Time will tell but human nature comes in here, in the future he can set up those so called Fema camps for the disloyal rebels, but who is to guard them, we are too a mixed society to even give a thought to how Germany set up their camps.   We have way to many non true blood here in America.

Obama as long as his military is silent and just waiting, his security is off chasing booty, his generals are not bitching and the National Guard will not turn on family and friends, NOW WHAT.

History may prove that human Nature stays the same from generations to generations.

No leader has survived to Fu*k with his military, ----------Just saying.
