Hey, I just HAD to give ya crap!!! You know how it is!  How about we all go to a park and eat some MREs???     :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

MRE's are far too loaded with calories. If I'm gonna load up that way, I want one of those triple chocolate meltdown thingies. They don't come in MREs.  :stoner:

I knew a guy who went 10 days without taking a dump. I think they wound up getting a jackhammer to break it all loose.  :rotf:

Actually, the biggest reason for the constipation is that when you're in the field, training and otherwise don't have access to real food, people generally don't drink nearly enough water. Ergo, jackhammer time.

Uh...we can put this thread to bed till September. Too many jackhammer stories.  :lmao:

As mentioned last night on Facebook and in the spirit of CG's trip out to Airy-zona, I'm on my way to Huntsville, AL. From there to Tyler, Texas on Sunday after the AMM reunion; audit in Jacksonville, Texas till Wednesday of next week; another audit in Dallas on Thursday; a side trip to San Antonio to visit an old band buddy probably for the last time (he's terminal with Interstitial Lung Disease); a merry little jaunt from there up to Austin to drop in on my stepson long enough to buy him dinner; then up to the Dallas/Denison/whatever-you-call-it area for a meetup with some of you folks; and then home again on Sunday, 30 Sept.

Total mileage: 2,680.

Wish I could make it. Just a *little* too far to drive, and my Rapid Rewards miles are taken up already.

I was really surprised at how much US-66 follows I-40. If I had more time, I'd have stopped at some places on the Mother Road.

I did stay in Santa Rosa, NM, one night, right on the Mother Road and nex to I-40 road.

With both trips - our vacaton and the recent trip for my sister - and including other trips, I've put on about 10,000 miles on my pickemup this summer.

560 miles today. Smooth sailing, except for the goatrope around Nashville.

It was great breaking bread with Chris. BTW, he doesn't wear that "Do You Want to Buy a Vowel" T-shirt at work.

As you're driving from Austin to Dallas, wave hello to me as you go through Round Rock.  Where does your stepson live in Austin and, more importantly, where are you going to eat?

I don't have a clue, Trav. I've not planned things out that far, just that I should be rolling through at about 3 P.M. And I don't know where he lives, either. Not sure I want to find out, either!

not really. He's a good kid and we'll definitely connect - but I think it'll be a short visit. I don't want to cramp his style.
