"When I got here, the man was beating up little man. He pulled him out from under the vehicle and started whopping him." A witness describes what he saw after a Little Rock teenager was hit and killed by a van. He was riding his bicycle and reportedly chased by the driver.

Quote
Michael Sadler, alleges that 14-year old Michael Stanley stole his wallet. "And that young man then jumped on his bicycle went back around the business and the van followed him," Sgt. Cassandra Davis adds.

This neighborhood on Asher is where everything unraveled. Where people are hysterical over what they saw.

Turner adds, "When the ambulance leaves without the sirens on, it's pretty much over."

Channel Seven has confirmed that at about 11:30 a.m. Little Rock Police responded to a call from Code Enforcement officers who say they witnessed some of the dispute that started at the Asher One Stop gas station.

Michael Sadler, alleges that 14-year old Michael Stanley stole his wallet. "And that young man then jumped on his bicycle went back around the business and the van followed him," Sgt. Cassandra Davis adds.

After about a block, Stanley attempted to ride through a grassy area, but you can see here, the van followed. The teen sustained life threatening injuries from impact, but what happened next to the dying teen is difficult to hear. "He ran over him than pulled him out from under the van and started beating him up and chocking him. That's what I saw." Turner continues, "He is well loved; you know kids are going to be kids. He was being mischievous."

Sadler has been charged with first degree murder. The Code Enforcement officers and other witnesses are being questioned about what they saw.

The boy died at Children's Hospital, where family rushed to his side.

Police are adamant; never try to take the law into your own hands

doesn't the first statement insinuate that he was dead at the scene?  and the one in blue is  ::)

Well, assuming that's really what happened, it sounds like the van driver is in a shitload of legal trouble, but I can't say I feel any sorry for the little shitbird who got run over.  I'm not one of those 'Every man's death diminishes me' people.

a comment was posted that said this and it gives more to the story if true

Well let me see....this "kid" STEALS a wallet, SKIPS school from an ALTERNATIVE school. and this man...HAD a son himself who was working and attending college and was murdered by a THUG like this "kid" in Nov 2005 at a convenient store. so maybe...just maybe...he had NO tolerance for this kind of activity as it is what killed his own son. just sayin.

oh the comments are priceless

Quote
Actually, the man that ran him over was the one that began this whole ordeal. If he hadnt approached the kid and started waving his $1,300 around, maybe, just maybe the kid would not have stolen the wallet. Who knows. Like Ive said before, some stupid mistakes were made from both parties and it resulted in a 14 year old life coming to an end. People say the man shouldve handled it differently, but who is to say any one of us would have done something different or even more worse. You cant say that until youre faced with that.

If "the kid was being mischievous" by skipping school and robbing someone, then the van driver was "annoyed" when he ran the kid over and beat him to death.

I don't think paramedics can pronounce someone officially dead unless it's obvious, like the victim was decapitated, but a doctor has to do it, in this case at the hospital.

Not 100% sure on that, though. I think that's what they meant.

The possibilty exists that the driver was trying to drag the kid from under his car rather the beating part.

Several years ago, a teenager around his age stole a purse and a man jumped into his truck and stopped the kid. The boy pulled out a gun and shot him dead.

I'm betting that it just might be the case unless the kid was armed but even then it's going to be hard to prove the driver had good cause.

Seems like the civilized populace are shaking off their slumber and taking matters into their own hands since the liberal lawyers have relegated the police to nothing more than speed trap operators.  I don't feel one bit sorry for anyone that assumes room temperature for attempting to steal the direct earnings of a working man/woman.  Maybe if it happened more often, the little shitbags would get the clue to stop and stay in school.

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

Another reason sharia, burkas and hijabs should be mandatory.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.
