Interior Department sets rules for gas drilling on public lands

“State regulatory bodies have repeatedly proven that they have the understanding of their state’s own unique geologic conditions, the on-the-ground expertise needed to oversee this important work, and most importantly, the ability to respond to rapid change,” Amontree said. As drafted, the federal proposal would create reporting requirements and “regulatory impediments” that could substantially affect the ability of companies to drill on public lands, he said.

Surprise, surprise.  Obama wants to impose additional regulations on oil companies.  Never mind that the states already have their own set of regulations that are supposed to be followed... we'll just stick them with some new ones.

The Feds are partly responsible for the BP oil spill in the Gulf by relaxing the safety rules. Of course, BP was a big financial supporter of Obummer. You do not think that had anything to do with it?  :argh: :argh: :argh:

The Interior Dept would like to shut down every drilling rig on land and at sea. This sorry ass department headed by anti-oil bureaucrats is more dangerous than the EPA. Furthermore, the Feds could not regulate a whore house properly. By the looks of the Secret Service, they would screw it up.

According to the secret service, they should be non-profit organizations.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948
