So I posted here a few weeks ago about the crap job that I had and how they treat their employees. Today I got fired. I have never been fired in my life. They gave me $2000 in severance and said that should get me by. Thank God I got a call right after for an interview today, so fingers crossed. But the point is that I never had any training and they don't like the fact that I am gay. I am going to see a lawyer on Friday. I am the 99%, and I will rise up.

The whole story is a bouncy, he probably did apply for the job, then came up hot on the piss test and wasn't hired.

I've gotten a severance package several times and I always had to sign an agreement that I wouldn't sue them before I got the check. If you signed such a release, forget about suing. If you didn't sign a release, I'm amazed they gave you anything.

And 2 comrades tell him to shut up on the internet, if he's indeed suing. 

I guess we know to ask some tough questions when interviewing people.  And to have our DUmmie radar sharply tuned.

At a professional level you don't get training. You are expected to know the job. If true, which I doubt, the DUche was unqualified for the job but thought that he should have been the CEO.

I don't believe for a minute the primitive was "director" of anything.

He might have been the guy who emptied the desk-side wastebasket of some director's secretary.

This reminds me of when I was manager of the Reunion, a privately-owned student union at the University of Nebraska, and one time an application crossed my desk from some smart-alec kid from Omaha; under "managerial experience" (not required for the job, but he filled it out anyway), he listed "supervisor, returned soda bottles department, Baker's Supermarkets."

He was hired anyway, and turned out pretty good.

If he was anywhere near the level he claims, any sort of severance package for all the the most gross misconduct would entail several months worth of pay and benefits.

Hell, let me just paraphrase our company severance pay policy:

Any employee who has completed at least a year of continuous service and is laid off will be given an allowance of two weeks pay for each year of continuous service up to a maximum of 52 weeks pay. 

So even a lowlife podunk knuckle-dragger like me would get at least 3 months pay.  And last time I checked, that was a bit more than $2K.
