Bellevue City Council to reconsider....

Remember this: http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002498608

Now the council will reconsider the buy out, but it will cost $50,000 more this time around. Not to mention what has already been spent on this issue.

I wonder what got this to happen?

OS

You wonder what is going to happen Steve?   You mean you aren't attending every meeting, and don't have your finger on the pulse already?

You mean you had to read this in the newspaper to know it was happening?

The end of this farce you call a campaign can't end quick enough for you.

Why don't you go ask Knebel what will happen, as I am sure he is at EVERY meeting.    Putz.

Poor, stupid, lazy Steve Dawes.

If the City Council buys the worthless tract of land outside the city limit, Steve loses one of the two planks of his campaign. He will lose the "I want the city to have some flood-ravaged land" vote to the candidate who actually votes for the buyout.

Poor, stupid, lazy, shortsighted Steve Dawes. At least he still has the "I want my city councilman to smell like poop" vote and the Neckbeard Alliance.

Well, we know it wasn't the big guy, even though he's clumsily subtly trying to hint it.

By the way, anybody on the ground there, in or near Bellevue, seen any yard-signs yet, for the big guy?

Don't answer here, as it gives too much information about who's where.

If you've seen one, answer via personal message, please.

Don't know why anyone would buy more land on a flood plain after all that floodlight last year. The city is already spending money on cleaning up the park near the river. One thing is certain it's got nothing to do with anything OmahaSteve has going on.

I think the big guy should pawn his big fancy superlarge superdeluxe television set--it's only a few months old, and so he should get some good cash for it--so as to pay the printing company for his yard-signs, which are still being held up until he pays the bill.

They'd been designed and printed in good faith, because the big guy had sworn to his pal who owns the printing company not to worry; the primitives would take care of the bill.

Oops.

It's only two weeks until the primary, and time's a-wasting.

That might not be an option. Knowing the Socialist like we do, he may have got it from one of those rent to own centers.

He's paying 1,000.00 for a 500.00 TV.

:rot: :rot:   Oh so true, perhaps more.

But cannot be too hard on the man, we do buy new cars that loose value when we drive it off the lot.  Even if we pay cash, the auto is now worth less then 10 minutes ago.   Turn the car around after a mile, bring it back to the lot and try to turn it in on another car------Gasp-----after one mile the car has lost $500.00 in value for a trade in.

Well, today I got three reports from real life.

There are no yard signs for the big guy anywhere that the grounders were at, in his area.

I can hardly wait for this dreary dismal epic to get over with, so that the big guy can go back to doing what he does best--posting photographs taken with faded grade-B long-ago television "celebrities" such as Jennifer Jones or Gene Tierney and the big guy, the big guy attired in a Peter Pan costume.

It can't come soon enough, alas.

And don't forget, there'll be a live thread here that evening, reporting the latest returns from Sarpy County, Nebraska.

Bump for the big guy, so he can see the results earlier than he may otherwise.  If he follows the election results anything like he follows city council, he'll have to wait until the morning paper to see if he managed to squeak into the November general election.

Steve may be too lazy for a big announcement on Cinco de Mayo.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

I think Big Steve has reconsidered his strategy.  Instead of being in the race, he'll be the guy bitching about the people that are in the race.  Only problem is that his only media outlet is DU.  Epic fail Steve, good luck next time.
