George Zimmerman: Defense team launches new site
Source: Orlando Sentinel
George Zimmerman's defense attorney has established a new website, Facebook and Twitter accounts to provide details about the high-profile, controversial case.
On gzlegalcase.com, attorney Mark O'Mara acknowledges that it is "unusual for a legal defense to maintain a social media presence on behalf of a defendant, but we also acknowledge that this is a very unusual case."
Zimmerman is charged with killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin at a Sanford neighborhood Feb. 26. Zimmerman claims the shooting was in self-defense.
On the website, the Orlando veteran attorney said he contends social media cannot be ignored today.

1. I am not convinced
that this is a good idea. But, on the other hand they might just do something to make the prosecutors job easier.
I really don't think Mark O'Mara is that stupid.

2. It's Time For The Judge
To issue a gag order in this case.
Funny you didn't want anything gagged before he obtained a zealous defense counsel.

3. ploy for raiisng money?
What if it is? A lot of people create funds to raise money for legal defense. That includes politicians. The last one that comes to mind is Charlie Rangel. Did you object to that?

10. Yes, O'Mara wants to make sure
Zimmerman can afford him
Nothing wrong with wanting to get paid for your work.

4. Yes, a ploy to raise money
The money he has received and will receive is from republican racists, not for defense but as a reward for killing an African American.

7. Isn't it against the law to profit from a crime - write a book? This does not seem any different to
me except he has not been convicted yet.
Yeah well, that bolded part does count for an exception, doesn't it?

8. I'm not sure if it's good or bad
But I'll have a big problem with it if he uses it to step up his attempts to taint the jury pool. I don't see how he can raise money from the nuts without racist screeds. They're the only ones that will contribute.
He's entitled to a defense? He should have never pulled the trigger to begin with. He's brought all if it upon himself.
That's what the defense and other components of the trial are there to determine aren't they? Or do you determine guilt first and then decide whether or not they rate a defense?

9. That's Why I Think The Judge Needs To Issue
A gag order. This case has had enough publicity already without adding this into the mix. In fact, I would think that the Judge would be steaming about this.
Yeah, it had enough publicity while you morons thought you were controlling the narrative. Now that things are balancing out a bit, you want everyone to shut up.
All along, the DUmmies and other moonbats protested, "B-b-but we just want an arrest and an investigation. If that happened we wouldn't even be discussing this."
Well, you got your arrest and investigation, both at the state and federal level, and you're still yammering away about it, which would suggest to me that you're not only liars, but you have an agenda that has little to do with fair play or justice.
You had no problem running your drooling mouths nonstop from Day One of this case, trying and convicting Zimmerman in the court of public opinion, using the internet and other media to spread lies and speculation as fact, creating scenarios regarding what happened that night based on nothing but your own preconceived notions, and handwaving away evidence or lack thereof that contradicted you.
Now Zimmerman has his own platform from which to speak, and a lawyer to provide a zealous defense for him, and now,
now you want everyone to shut up about it.
The plain fact is, you're pissed that Zimmerman has a good lawyer rather than some hack. You're pissed that his side of the story is starting to get wider play as opposed to your one-sided narrative. You're pissed that all your made-up bullshit isn't going to get traction once a real trial starts. And you're pissed over the idea that Zimmerman just might not get lynched to further your agenda of racial division and identity politics.
Well **** you, too.
