 The cost to keep wild life away from the run ways is staggering, so why not build fences to keep them away ??

Can't do much about birds but millions of us have these sonic plug ins that are soundless to us that keep out bugs, mice and do no harm to our pets.

Cannot the government or inventors develop some form of these same things to keep birds away, or have they all ready done so but the Unions object as this means loss of jobs to the marksman???

We put our men on he Moon, can we not find away to discourage birds from getting near an airplane ????

Everyday we gets ads on TV for some kind of sonic device to keep rabbits, dogs and cats out of our yards. I am sure the Military has developed a sonic device against an Emmey to boggle their brains also.

Why not equip the planes with super devices that work on the ground or in the air?????  All that would be  lost is the Union contractors to build fences, Union workers that prowl the grounds shooting at varmints, Union workers that fire flares into the air every so often to scare the birds away, Heck a divice like this  may mean the loss of jobs for hundreds of people at just One airport.

True but why not broadcast a sound that keeps the raptors away, there has to be some predator they fear.

Boats in the harbor have Plastic Owls to keep birds from shitting on the boats, farmers use scare crows to protect corn fields and some use Plastic snakes on poles to keep away other birds.

Brains baby brains need to be used here,  what do the birds fear, sound or movement, the call of an enemy, why not a sound that mimics a low barometer telling them a storm is on the way.   Birds roost when they feel a storm coming in.

Living on the coast when the gulls fly inward and settle down, even if the weather man on TV says no problem, we watch the gulls and hunker down.   Weathermen are wrong from time to time, the birds are never wrong.

Birds are a huge enough problem at airports that they have to have someone to either scare them off or shoot them. When I have to work security at Omahas Epply Airfield it's not unusual to hear either shotgun blast or fireworks going off to get rid of the birds. So killing rabbits or ground squirrels or whatever is probably part of that as well.
