Thomas Beatie, who became famous as the first man to give birth, and his wife Nancy have separated.Beatie revealed the breakup during a taping of the syndicated TV show "The Doctors.""Like all marriages, we have our ups and downs, and we're going through a rough patch right now. At the moment, we're separated," he says on the show, slated to air May 9, reports People.com.Beatie also said he had undergone a final female-to-male gender reassignment surgery, but his wife hadn't been privy to that. "Nancy hasn't seen the new me yet," Beatie, 38, says.Beatie began life as a woman and legally switched to a male identity, making headlines in 2007 when he became pregnant. Nancy, 49, had two children from a previous marriage but was no longer able to get pregnant following a hysterectomy. The couple have since had two more children.

It's not a pregnant man, it's a woman with a beard.
Who apparently, according to the story, got the last stages of the female-to-male surgery -- after the kid was born.Question is, who was she/"he" doing the horizontal mambo with? Had to have been a dude if she got knocked up.
If it had the equipment to carry a child/mass of cells to term, then it wasn't a man. End of story. You may CALL yourself whatever you like, but that second "X" chromosome in every cell of your body will call you either a liar or certifiably insane every time you do.

He can have all the hormones shots he ever wants and those chromosomes aren't going to change. And, again, the media stirs it up by by continuing this idiotic "man has baby" shtick.This is so sad for those innocent kids. I hope they can function normally as they mature.
