his dem opponent is the guy on the left with the sticker on his shirt.
I looked up the primary results from last month:
With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Childers had 31,138 votes, or 49.4 percent, while Davis had 31,066 votes, or 46.3 percent. Only Childers and Davis will compete in the run-off.
davis is the republican.
Unfortunately, the demographics may work against Davis.
the mississippi republicans ran hard against the national dems in this race, including obama, but especially pelosi. if we lose here, the conclusion will be, of course, that the whole line of reasoning was rebuked in a southern state, and that (I am sure some will try to argue) the dems and obama can compete in the south in november.
