BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Four candidates are vying for a seat on Bellevue's City Council.

Republican Scott Houghtaling is fighting to keep his position representing Ward I. His challengers are Libertarian Michael Knebel, Democrat Steve Dawes and Republican Steve Carmichael.

Michael Knebel believes pride in homeownership will push residents to make sure projects are done right.

"I think we can be trusted with a little bit more personal freedom from our local government," said Knebel.....

This is what cracks me up:

Dawes wants to change the primary natural gas provider for Ward I.

He said switching service companies is a cost-saving measure for the city, and it will add up even if it's not enough to lower taxes......

It's a non-issue, and again only something the state legislature, not the city council, can affect.

Too bad for the big guy.

Socialist Steve has posted video of the senior center candidates' event, which he did indeed attend.

It includes a brief interview with Socialist Steve, although he's still erroneously identified as a democrat candidate, with no mention of socialism.

The rest of the time he seems to have spent at a table with one very elderly lady, doing some hard sell campaigning on her.

There is a brief clip of Old Town Bellevue, which as CR mentioned, looks like any other decrepit, utterly deserted, rundown, small town business district, with nothing to attract anyone.

The big DUmbass did not bother to untangle his hair for his big TV interview. His appearance, as always, was atrocious.
