I hope it's my computer screen, or maybe a bad video, but I swear it looks like the altered image Fox News was using, where Trayvon's face looked dark and splotchy.

What you claim you "read" is exactly what posters at the Conservative Cave and other RW websites are claiming to absolve Fox and 'prove' that the lighter photo is the doctored one.

The problem with your link is, first, that it's not a Miami Herald photo at all--it's attributed by the Herald to Mario Tama / Getty Images. And second, it is NOT an original photo of Trayvon--it's a Getty photo of an image on a poster used in a protest--as even the Herald caption clearly indicates.

Your bringing the RW talking points here is appreciated...NOT.

All the pics they are showing of him is when he was younger. None have been current. A lot of things can change in a short amount of time. And the media is playing on this kid being a 12 year old innocent boy. I'm not saying Zimmerman is innocent (or guilty) either, but the media is trying everything they can to convict the guy without knowing all the facts.

He was staying with him during his suspension. If his dad didn't give a shit, he wouldn't have been there. Do any dad's here who are divorced from their kid's mother live in the different city or even state than their children?

Edited to add: when I was in high school my Dad lived in Omaha (where I'm originally from) and I lived with my mom and step dad in Tulsa. That is more than a couple hundred miles away.

It wouldn't be the first time a kid has been shipped way off somewhere to escape trouble with the law or remove them from bad influences. It's getting quite common around here for black kids from the D.C. area (and others) to be down here living with their grandparents. Problem is they bring the thugster/gang lifestyle with them.
