Secret Service Agents Relieved Of Duty Following Colombia Misconduct Allegations

CARTAGENA, Colombia — A dozen Secret Service agents sent to Colombia to provide security for President Barack Obama at an international summit have been relieved of duty because of allegations of misconduct.

A caller who said he had knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press the misconduct involved prostitutes in Cartagena, site of the Summit of the Americas. A Secret Service spokesman did not dispute that.

A U.S. official, who was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter and requested anonymity, put the number of agents at 12. The agency was not releasing the number of personnel involved.

OK so the Secret Service is not FBI, but Agents do need a break for R&R on a job and when not on duty, eating or sleeping, need a bit of Shore Leave to reduce tensions, and what the hell is this bit about them being married or single.  Why do we the public need to know their marital status. 

Now if an agent was caught in a circle jerk in Cartagena with 4 enemy agents and a goat, I could understand the questions about their behavior.

Sure you are as do all companys that hire men with a family and pay them more  then if they are single.  

Know anything about the benefits a married man with family gets paid with benefits over the single men and woman ???  

Check it out the married service who are married and getting sex from a mate, with children they get housing and utility's at the same cost as a single person who does not get these benefits.

Add up the cost of free medical care for a married man, having sex with a wife.  TLA comes to mind for his wife and kids, then the cost to move from military station to station, unless Your Momma is a dependent of yours a girlfriend is not paid for to follow.

You would be surprised to find the find the number of people that have sex on your dime-----Any service member that is not married can get benefits for their children born out of wed lock, health and commissary benefits, all admittance to any base for the movie theaters, bowling alleys, swimming pools, on base schools, the liberty and the service clubs, the commissary's, as a declared dependent.  

Just how old are you MD11, our life does give more money to the people that have sex, on your dime.   walk into a welfare office to get food stamps for just your self, a quaking virgin never had sex , no children kids,  just you.  

Then watch as the people that have sex on your dime with 7 kids no known fathers walk out with with $900 bucks worth of food stamps while you may get at most $150 a month , the tell me you do not pay for others to have sex.

Regardless of political party, I think the thing that comes out of this is that the gubmint entities that are supposed to rise above politics and be the shining example of all that should be, even they are subject to "urges."

Morality, human trafficking issues, and all the niceties aside, having the highest access level guys in the country party their asses off overseas like fratboys suffering from Viagra overdoses is a totally unacceptable compromise of security.  It's not like it's exactly difficult for a Secret Service agent to get laid without any of the moral issues (Except adultery, which isn't illegal for anyone outside the UCMJ) in northeast Virginia or southern Maryland, these guys haven't been cooped up in forced celibacy on a sub or playing whack-a-mole with Muzzies in SW Asia for six months since their last shot of leg.

I'm not generally tolerant of conspiracy theories, but in this case, I think you might be on to something. It's rare to never that you hear about misconduct of Secret Service agents.

I know I am going to regret this but, did I ever tell you about the first WAVE group to show up on base?  One of the gals wanted to bring hubby (stud muffin or maybe even girlfriend) but needed to 'raise' the money.  She used the dumpster behind the SP barracks.  Shotly there after lots of SP turnded up for short arm inspection and bi-cillin.  Concidence?   Brothels in San Jaun had health inspections.   Moral of the story?  Always take your business to a pro ( who were probably Colombians or other South American workers).

Read too many history books about the soviets and their favorite tactics I guess.  First thought was this is total BS. Foreign country... Prostitute... Rape and Prostitutes were the number one way to discredit someone far from home. The former head of the IMF got the double whammy... Raping a prostitute.

Anyway, have to wait until more details emerge of exactly what happened. However, with the MSM we may never know.

Oh for heavens sake , JFK's favorite books were the James Bond series.  Top secrete agent running about the world licensed to kill, seducing every woman he saw and saving the lives of world leaders. 2+ generations of people watching the movies later EXPECT this to be normal behavior for the Secret Service in all country's.   

Not surprising that the men employed as a agent do want to give glamor to a very boring job, want for just once in their lives they can save Someone Important and get some glamorous woman into bed, just like Bond did.  To foil the bad men, even at cost to their virginity-----Hell of a job but someone has to do it.

This whole thing is so juvenile, so a non story------so what now, hire and train only Gay men that will not go looking for Woman ????  BTW there was no actual gender placed on the Prostitute, just that we think of a hooker as being female.

Sorry, your CT stuff is not making sense.  There is nothing for a sitting President's administration to gain from this, and the Secret Service is known for being tight-lipped to the point of 'Aiding and abetting.'  It sounds like the military started to investigate allegations against their personnel who might have been involved (Using a prostitute became a UCMJ offense in the Bush administration, over human trafficking concerns), then the White House got wind of it and decided the cat was about to bust out of the bag, and the only way to do damage control was to try and get ahead of it by throwing any of the Secret Service personnel involved under the bus. 

You seriously think canning somebody's ass is going to make them shut up?  I did Federal labor law cases for 20 years, and trust me, nobody actually thinks that way, it's the exact opposite.  When somebody has something to hide, the last thing the bad boy wants to do is piss off someone who can spill the beans by firing him.

Oh boy, I guess Mitt will try making this into Obamagate.  Politics aside, boys WILL be boys, regardless of who is president.  What are those kids doing in a fancy hotel on my dime?  I think the solution is to have those SS types bivouac in tents like us grunts did.  Get your job done and go sack out in your tent.  No fancy hotels.  Hookers follow the money.  GI's in tents are far less attractive.  Maybe you can have a camp fire and roast some mashmellows.  Saves tax dollars...and keeps things "clean" too!
