I was talking with one of the friends of Steve last night, who reminded me of something I'd almost forgotten.
Remember the big guy's a good talker, a professional bluffer.
"We're not Scamdy," he told me; "we're not nice guys who give the primitives the benefit of the doubt, because they've never deserved it. You guys in Scamdy seven years ago were way too nice, bringing plastic picnic-knives to a knife-fight, while sfexpat2000 and the scammers brought machetes."
I pointed out that in the end, we'd won anyway, proving the Scamdal a fraud, a travesty that had nothing to do with the late red round one's illness.
"But you got considerably cut up," he reminded me.
"Anyway," he went on, "don't accept what the big guy posts as images, jpgs, of yard-signs.
"One can create those out of thin air, jpgs.
"Don't for a minute believe there's yard-signs until they show up in a newspaper photograph or on a television screen, or their actual physical existence verified by an independent third party of some sort. Just because the big guy posts something, doesn't mean it's real.
"Remember your own words--the big guy's a good talker, a big bluffer.
"And he's a primitive, too, who knows how to lie and cheat."
